JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports is looking for a Senior Manager, Studio Operations to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The Senior Manager, Studio Operations oversees the workflow and communication of day-to-day live production. This position is a point person who manages multiple productions, coordinates with a variety of internal departments and handles issues/situations that arise in relation to the technical staff and the technical crew. The Senior Manager reports to and works in tandem with the Senior Director of Studio Operations to ensure comprehensive communication of all production elements.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide oversight of operations day-to-day to avoid conflicts, overtime, and to utilize the best resources for each productionOversee training of operators in tandem with Crewing ManagersMaintain an adept crew that is technologically up to date and expertly trained on in-house equipmentEnsure onboarding of new hiresEnsure all studio technical positions are booked accurately and alerts management of potential conflicts, OT, 6th days, turnaround etc. Knowledge of union contractsManage supply orders, oversee expendables, and handle rental requestsFamiliarity with invoicing process and on-boarding systemReport technical concerns and day-to-day technical challenges to Senior Director, Studio OpsWork with Engineering and Sr. Director, Studio Ops to monitor equipment repairs and follow up on technical problemsAdditional assignments and projects as needed/requested by managementBe available to trouble shoot production solutions and work with technical staff to provide optionsFollow up on daily schedule changes, facility usage, and personnel scheduling with management and crewersAdministrative duties as needed: purchases, invoices, catering, etc.Participate in weekly update meetings with team and creative partnersOffer workflow and technical solutions. Manage freelance concerns and communicate to Sr. Director, Studio Ops

7+ years of studio ops experienceLogical thinker and solution orientedUnderstanding technical production control room workflowsCommunicative, approachable, organized, strong at prioritizingAbility to work weekends, holidays and flexible hoursPositive outlook
Team oriented, collaborative, flexible.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $102,000.00-119,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
