Senior Manager, Supplier Relationships & Strategy

Asurion has global procurement, repair and systems partnerships that enables all global regions the benefit of devices, parts, tools and system integrations.  The OEM partnerships is managed by the Global Procurement & Strategy team in the US and is the central point of interaction with all the major US mobile OEMs.

Summary:

The Senior Manager of Global OEM Procurement & Strategy will fill a key role within the Global OEM Procurement Management organization.  This position will have primary responsibility for influencing cross-functional teams within Asurion US, UK, APAC and LATAM regions.  This position will take lead on the strategy management of each OEM partner.  Additionally, this position is responsible for negotiating all contracts, and then ensuring compliance to those contracts are followed enterprise wide.  Key objectives include the ability to build and maintain relationships and thrive in a cross-functional team environment is critical to the success of this position.  Also, the position sets the strategy for each partner, and maintains a day-to-day relationship with key stakeholders at each OEM.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leads the OEM strategy for the enterpriseResponsible for the growth or expansion of OEM relationship and capabilitiesOwns all aspects of contract work: negotiation, implementation, and complianceDevelops business cases in conjunction with new device launchesManages the day to day relationship with our OEM partnersProvides leadership and guidance for all NPI (new product introduction)Leads a procurement team that is responsible for best-in-class performance and is managed utilizing industry recognized supplier management tools; which are but not limited to business compliance requirements, balanced scorecards, daily or weekly communications, MBRs, QBRs and implementation of supplier qualification & disqualification procedures as requiredExpected to drive cost savingsChallenge status quo and proactively drive for profitability optimization by establishing creative outside the box solutionsEstablish and sustain strong customer relationship management through effective communication and support for all internal customersConsults with global business units to improve performance and maximize revenueActs as the point of accountability for escalation and arbitration for supplier related issuesServe as industry expert in functional area of responsibility and maintain market intelligenceManage weekly and monthly data to monitor supplier performance, identify cost reduction opportunities, and create competition.  Works hand in hand with internal teams to ensure suppliers are performing and kept cost competitiveOperational activities of include communicating and resolving daily issues between internal organizations and supplier, leading weekly cross-functional team calls to cover open issues, actively working/monitoring quality and performance issuesMust be able to build strong internal relationships and be able work collectively/collaboratively across the organizationResponsible for improving procurement and other internal processes to support operational efficienciesCollaborates with cross-functional teams such as demand planning, operations, quality/engineering and finance to effectively drive accurate material forecasting, purchasing, compliance and standardized processes that enable continuity of supply, reduces E&O exposure, and lowers material costs

Qualifications:

Global procurement experienceBS/BA Degree and Minimum 5 years in supply chain or related procurement roleStrong negotiating skills and analytical skills requiredStrong change management and facilitation skillsSuperior relationship management and interpersonal skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsDrive for resultsStrong motivational and leadership skillsProficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and WordExcellent organizational skillsAdvanced quantitative problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to lead global cross functional teams and manage direct reports Must be willing to relocate to the Nashville, TN area
