We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Test Systems Engineering, Section Lead to join our Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) directorate in McKinney, Texas. TEE is a multi-discipline organization responsible for contributing to the development of test system solutions for all Raytheon products. Typical teamwork involves designing and developing interface assemblies, selection and integration with test instruments and environments, and test software automation to develop a test system for all Raytheon products including both lab engineering and factory production test systems.
As the Section Lead, you will be responsible for leading highly skilled & dedicated test system engineers accountable for delivering Advanced Technology sensors’ products and services. The Section Lead and team members will be part of a larger Test Engineering RF Technologies Department serving programs across multiple Raytheon Strategic Business Units. The department has a number of other Section Leads who will be executing in parallel to this role, and together operate as the department’s leadership team along with the Department Lead. The department prides itself on providing a sense of community and cross section support with weekly leadership calls to share current flow down, status, and issues. What You Will Do
Supervise and lead a team of approximately 8-19 membersThe Section Lead role is anticipated to be approximately 20% of the work week, with the remainder devoted to Test Systems Engineering tasks within the TEE organizationMaintain TEE relationships with Strategic Business Unit (SBU)/ProgramsTranslate SBU needs to TEE departmentsResolve issues between SBU and TEE as need arisesChampion SBU/program adoption of common and reusable test solutionsDrive SBU/Program Test Roadmap and strategy alignment with TEE roadmapDrive timely and complete proposals for associated test systems work productsEnsure test programs are executed utilizing earned value and associated metricsEstablish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with your team to ensure alignment with the department and centerConduct formal and informal performance reviews and career development discussions with team membersSupport TEE hiring goals as well as lead the onboarding of new section personnelTravel as needed to other company facilities, manufacturer/contracting suppliers, and/or industry conferencesQualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior test systems experienceExperience with test hardware and/or software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production/manufacturing/product qualification environments and processes.Experience working with and communicating with all levels of management and individual contributors on a program team at different work site locationsExperience mentoring and providing career development direction for staff engineersExperience coordinating program staffing needs and skills to meet demand for multiple Test System Engineering programsExperience with Test Systems Engineering or equivalent engineering cost estimation and schedule knowledgeThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
