Job Description 

Trusted Mission Processing (TMP) provides embedded processing solutions for rugged real-time applications. We are seeking a Systems Engineering Section Leader to support the Modular Blade Computer (MBC) development as part of the Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) program.

 What YOU Will Do: 

You will lead a technical team to ensure defined requirements are consistently met throughout the complete lifecycle of the program including: 

Creating system level requirements, architectures and designs 

Requirements management and verification 

Determining appropriate requirement verification methods and demonstrate completion of requirements via the named verification method 

Creating and tracking metrics relative to program execution such as requirements completion status, requirements volatility, requirement sizing, team efficiency and burndown rate 

Creating required project documentation in support of contract execution and deliverables (Original content creation is required) 

You will support bid and proposal efforts including BOE generation 

You will interface with all engineering disciplines  

You will recruit and assign tasking to talented engineers, provide performance assessments and career development

Qualifications YOU Must Have: 

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience 

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date  

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance  

Experience executing in an Agile development environment 

Experience leading a technical team in a fast-paced environment 

Experience with earned value management 

Experience creating new contract documentation 

Experience working competitive proposals 

 

Qualifications We Prefer: 

Experience working in the mission processing domain 

Experience with MBSE design and best practices  

Experience executing qualification programs using Mil-Std-810, Mil-Std-461, Mil-Std-464 and Mil-Std-704 

Platform level integration experience

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
