Title:  Senior Manager - U.S. Indirect Tax

This role is full-time onsite in our Palo Alto, California office reporting to the Sr. Director of Domestic Tax.

As a Tax Senior Manager, you are an expert in your field and will:

Be the subject matter expert on indirect tax for BU guidance, new products, initiatives, strategies focusing on taxation of software from a selling perspective and California partial manufacturing and R&D exemptionBe responsible for U.S. indirect tax compliance and coordinate with external service providers for sales and use tax and property taxes filingsLead indirect tax audits, tax controversies, inquiries, and refund claimsLead annual property tax compliance using outside consultantsEmbrace, identify and drive indirect tax process improvements, automation, and workflowsMaintain OneSource/Sabrix transaction tax software, oversee customer tax exemption certificates and identify system setup issuesBe the liaison with cross-functional teams on indirect tax issues (Finance, Business Units, Sales, Accounts Payable, Credit & Collections, Procurement, IT)Monitor new tax developments and legislative changes; proactively identify impact and solutionsLead special projects, M&A, integrations as neededSupervise 1 direct report

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance15+ years of indirect tax experience required (combined public accounting and software/technology industry) or Master’s degree and 13+ yearsStrong tax technical knowledge of sales and use tax related to software, sourcing, manufacturingIntermediate-to-Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, modeling, forecastingProject management and leadership skills to work proactively and manage competing prioritiesStrong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skillsExperience with Oracle ERP systemsExperience with OneSource/Sabrix sales and use tax softwareExperience with Alteryx is a plus

Additional Job Description:

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $138,000 - $220,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
