Senior Manager, Value Chain Sustainability
Eaton Corporate is hiring a Senior Manager of Value Chain Sustainabilty. This position requires 25% travel and can be located anywhere in the United States. Reporting to the VP, Corporate Environmental Health and Safety and Sustainability, the Value Chain Sustainability Manager is responsible for leading the engagement with customers on sustainability issues and opportunities across the value chain, in collaboration with commercial teams, business unit leadership and supply chain. The role requires expert-level knowledge and experience in business processes, as well as strong communication and influencing skills to align internal and external stakeholders on sustainability goals and strategies. The Value Chain Sustainability Manager will also operationalize sustainability through organizational KPIs, EBS processes and due diligence practices, and build Eaton's capability to address customer-driven sustainability initiatives. **What you’ll do:** • Lead Value Chain sustainability engagement with customers in collaboration with commercial teams and business unit leadership and supply chain. • Engage with commercial and Business teams to understand and respond to customer, industry, and market expectations. • Be a technical resource for commercial teams on industry specific sustainability requirements and issues. • Execute a management system for handling customer requests and inquiries, including tracking and approval of RFP or contract requirements. • Build internal capacity for managing and approving requests (e.g., to include customer service response leaders). • Lead due diligence processes to understand the potential impacts, risks and opportunities (IROs) of Eaton Business in our value chain. • Align and integrate sustainability into Eaton business processes to optimize sustainability outcomes. • Operationalize sustainability through organizational KPIs; document rationale for KPIs based on external standards and benchmarks. • Build and supporting Eaton Business System processes to drive performance in sustainability and achievement of 2030 goals. • Build Eaton knowledge of and capability to address customer driven initiatives including customers specific KPIs and engagement councils. **Qualifications:** **Basic (Required) Qualifications:** • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in supply chain, operations, sustainability and/or Environment Social and Governance (ESG). • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. **Preferred Qualifications:** • Master’s degree or advanced degree. • Knowledge of Greenhouse Gas accounting standards; including Scope 3. • Six Sigma certified. • Program management experience. • Operations and supply chain experience. **Eaton Leaderships Attributes:** • Think and Act Strategically, Build Organizational Capability, Get Results and Enable a Digital Mindset across Eaton. • Is passionate, accountable, efficient, ethical, transparent, and focused on continuous learning. • We foster an environment of engagement and inclusion for all employees and act with advocacy, empathy, and accountability.
