The Senior Design Manager role at Arup involves leading multidisciplinary design management activities within the buildings and infrastructure sector, with a focus on data centre projects in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. This entails requires managing design teams, ensuring quality and timely delivery of project documentation, and maintaining positive client relationships


The Opportunity

Lead and manage multidisciplinary design projects from concept to construction and handover stages. Represent Arup and the design team to clients, ensuring positive and collaborative relationships. Coordinate with core design disciplines and specialist inputs to ensure cohesive final designs. Oversee the production of project documentation, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines and budgets. Monitor project briefs, finances, scope changes, and manage document systems.

Is this role right for you?

Recognized tertiary qualifications in engineering, architecture, or project management. Membership of relevant professional institutions and progress towards professional accreditation. Significant industry experience in the design of data centres within a consulting business environment. Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, translating opportunities into profitable workloads. Strong communication skills, with experience in negotiating and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
