Job Description:

Manage financial due diligence professionals on buy-side and sell-side transactions for our client base which includes corporate clients, private equity groups and commercial lenders. Manage engagements throughout the transaction lifecycle and coordinate other company capabilities by leveraging the expertise of other service lines, cross-functional teams, and international colleagues as needed. Plan, execute, direct and complete financial due diligence for financial and corporate strategic buyers from a variety of industries. Examine and analyze client data to identify key trends, quality of earnings adjustments and net working capital impacts. Draft reports to socialize our findings around quality of earnings, net working capital and business performance along with insights around the key financial and business issues in a transaction. Manage client expectations concerning timing, progress, deliverables, deadlines, and lead change efforts effectively. Develop and maintain strong client relationships. Team with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls. Recruit, manage, mentor, and train Senior Associates and Associates. Assess performance of Senior Associates and Associates for engagement and year-end reviews. Supervises 2-6 employees in the positions of Senior Associates and Associates per engagement

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration with a specialization in Finance, or related, or a foreign equivalent plus at least 5 years of progressively responsible post baccalaureate experience as a Senior Associate, Associate, Assurance Executive, Assurance Intern, or related roles. Employer will accept a qualified education evaluation from an accredited evaluation service to determine equivalency to a U.S. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration with a specialization in Finance, or related. Applicants must possess experience in the following: (1) US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services, or mergers and acquisitions; (2) Performing accounting, audit, or transaction advisory services for cross-industry clients at an international level; (3) Leveraged buyout (LBO) models used for M&A transactions; (4) data analysis tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Access, and other platforms to assess the financial performance and financial position of companies; (5) navigating operating data to deliver real time observations, insights, and risk areas; (6) Utilizing QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop software to create reports, extract general ledger data, and track individual transactions of a business; and (7) IFRS accounting standards and ISA (International Standards on Auditing). CPA (Certified Public Accountant), Chartered Accountant (CA), ACA (Charted Accountant Association), or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Certificate (U.S. or other jurisdiction) required. 10-15% travel to various unanticipated client sites across the U.S. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within the same geographic location as the assigned Grant Thornton office location.

Compensation for position: $219,752 – $229,752/year
