About the Role

The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the operations of system teams which consist of 2 or more sub teams to ensure them to deliver the services/application at the quality level, ensuring operation significant metric through integration with other applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Support to execute company strategy (20%)
•    Assisting Department Head to define the direction and objectives of the department, set the strategy of these supporting systems and offshore service model.
•    Preparing and driving the operation plan according to company’s direction

Develop team members to achieve the defined target (40%) 
•    Talk with internal and external customers to understand their business needs and define the service level agreement accordingly.
•    Evaluate the feasibility and applicability of systems recommendations and advising user the efficiency considerations.
•    Developing the team to achieve objectives defined in performance indicator.
•    Leading and developing team efficiently and providing service to customers at defined quality level.
•    Proactively lead  issues, propose options and ensure to implement efficient services
•    Providing consultant and recommendations to the business executive manager.

Develop team to meet business needs (40%)
•    Leverage and build up the resource with required skill set to fulfill the needs from customer and project.
•    Assisting HR in staff recruitment and managing staff’s performance.
•    Defining the development plan for the team and key staffs.
 
Other responsibilities 
•    Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements.

Job Requirements:

•    Bachelor degree or above
•    Over 10 years of relevant experience in implementing solutions or working in a project environment with vendors and inhouse teams, with at least 5 years in the management role.
•    Strong leadership and team building ability.
•    Proficient in IT Application development/ design in 2 platforms: Cloud platforms, AS400/ Linux/Windows/Unix platforms, database platform, Web/mobile applications
•    Strong business/ functional knowledge in domain areas and proficient in Insurance application at least 2 application end-to-end
•    Effective communication and good interpersonal ability.
•    Good command of problem solving skill
•    Fluent English both in oral and written.
•    Outstanding work ethic, creativity, high-integrity, teammate demeanour.
