Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager – Cyber Defense will assist in the execution of key priorities in partnership with the Cyber Defense leadership team. This person will ensure intra- and cross-team alignment across Cybersecurity and Digital Risk, as well as the broader business, drawing on business and technical experience to deliver results. This person will be responsible for managing complex and cross-functional projects that will enable United to better protect the organization by implementing and enhancing processes and technologies.

Lead the team and manage individuals to achieve resultsCoach and mentor individuals at all levels of the organization, demonstrating tangible results and growth in your peopleAttract, hire, and retain top talent for the organizationDevelop and scale processes to drive operations and initiatives for Cybersecurity and Digital Risk and Cyber DefenseDefine and develop metrics program to track maturity, evolution, and health of cybersecurity program over timeSee opportunities to use and operationalize existing security investments while also identifying gaps in our defenses and recommending new technologiesWork with external stakeholders such as law enforcement, cyber insurers, lawyers and more, as needed
