Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the SMCR and Knowledge and Competence - Registration team within BlackRock’s Legal & Compliance (“L&C”) function.This role will be focused on supporting BlackRock and our employees, in ensuring compliance with the UK Senior Manager & Certification Regime (“SMCR”), Knowledge and Competence Regime (“K&C”) and the Irish Fitness & Probity Regime (“Irish F&P”).
The successful candidate will be joining a team of 4 based in both London and Budapest. This role offers the opportunity to work in close partnership with colleagues across the EMEA Legal & Compliance EMEA and to engage broadly with business colleagues across the breadth of BlackRock’s businesses.
The SMCR Registration team ensures the application of SMCR requirements across all UK regulated entities, as well as K&C and Irish F&P requirements. They work closely with Human Resources, Company Secretarial teams, and Business groups operating in the UK, and Ireland along with their senior management teams. The team is required providing a high-touch, personalized service to all impacted individuals.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong communication, stakeholder management, problem solving and influencing skills and should be comfortable dealing with employees across a range of seniority levels. The ability to manage your time and deliver to deadlines under pressure will also be vital.
An in-depth knowledge of the requirements and expectations of the SMCR, K&C and Irish F&P would be beneficial but is not essential. Experience of managing volume-driven operational programs in a fast-paced environment is required.
