Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
As leader / one of the leaders of the Data & Insights function for the defined Alliance Key Accounts (AKA) – a selection of identified strategic European wholesale retailers - this role is to set the strategy of how & where the Accounts data & Insights team should focus their efforts across data reporting and the extraction of actionable insights from data, with the objective of accelerating Net Sales, Sell-out & Market share. Through these insights, this role will positively influence the AKA commercial & digital teams in their responsibilities to maximize sell-in & sell-out of adidas products respectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a lead point of contact for all topics relating to insight generation, data reporting & analytics amongst senior stakeholders both in Europe & Globally for the defined AKAs. Pro-actively identify opportunities (Or Risks) to expand brand reach, visibility, availability & ultimately grow sales – both digitally and across the physical store network (where relevant) Translate all gathered insights into engaging, measurable, and clear presentations. Through a consistent reporting framework, provide the business with a single source of truth when it comes to key metrics across the defined AKA accounts – including progress & highlighting relevant opportunities for the teams to action. Maximize the depth of insight generation by leveraging data points across the full spectrum of granularity – be it online/offline or focuses across geographies, categories, genders, product types, price points, colourways etc. Through these insights, provide the business recommendations relating to ideal product assortments, depths of buys, breadth of ranges, replenishment opportunities and other key insights to help accelerate the adidas business Drive forward an agenda of automating all reports (Via PowerBI) being created in a manual nature today, taking the lead through collaboration with various Local, European & Global stakeholders. Foster a culture of high performance across direct reports and wider teams – with accuracy, prioritization & actionable insight generation as the core focus competencies, with an additional focus on talent development and coaching. Collaborate with various other, Local, European & Global analytics teams to drive synergies across the respective business units and accelerate process improvements. Lead in the implementation of new processes and ways of working, including driving buy-in and application from commercial and brand stakeholders. Develop a holistic understanding of the wholesale landscape in Europe – both digital & physical, leveraging this knowledge & applying it to suggest ways to collaborate with the AKAs to mutually drive growth across our respective businesses. Act as the analytics expert when it comes to industry expertise, consistency reviewing how we operate as a wider team & identifying any industry trends or opportunities that could positively impact our business. Future forecasting and modelling, including identifying future commercial opportunities and building blocks, leveraging reliable data sources to support all analysis and proposals (e.g. Ideal Range, Pricing, content etc.) In understanding the relationship between various digital metrics (e.g. impressions, clicks, conversion) & sell out performance, you will drive recommendations to the AKA & European DPC team on how best to optimise our digital offering Lead internal Monthly / Quarterly Business Reviews with key AKA stakeholders, summarizing progress made in the previous quarter & highlighting identified opportunities in the quarter(s) to come – being clear where the focus should lie & what support is needed. Support internal forecasting processes through scenario planning and sell-out projections, ensuring a clear & healthy connection between goods into the retailer and goods out to the consumer.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to confidently present qualitative and quantitative analysis, rooted in data, to management - Including translating messages and stories in a simple way. Keen interest and experience in dealing with large / complex data sets and pro-actively deriving insights from said data. Capacity to actively influence senior stakeholders & amongst peer group, to drive best practise / processes or following through on actions identified to garner commercial gain. Solution oriented, with a focus on results. Ability to derive and articulate clearly the inter-connected nature between various data points. Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills. Advanced Excel skills and high proficiency in spreadsheet analysis. Knowledge of data processing & visualisation tools (Alteryx and PowerBI adidas current preferred options). Highly motivated self-starter, with excellent planning and organisation skills. Including ability to self-prioritise individual workload and direct team focuses, especially when working under pressure and against deadlines. Comfortable with working in an international environment Fluent English is necessary; another European language would be beneficial.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
University degree or extensive professional experience in Digital Analytics, Business Analytics or equivalent Prior experience in leading a team to deliver high performance is preferred Mindset: Curious, Questioning, agile, pro-active & action oriented Experience in working with digital metrics or within the sporting goods / fashion retail industry is preferred.
