Senior Manager Controls Assurance

The Senior Manager, Controls Assurance will assist inleading a team of highly qualified controls assurance professionals to support the business in designing and embedding a robust control framework. The role is responsible for assisting the Head of First Line Controls Assurance in developing and implementing controls across the International and Premier Banking Business (‘IWPB’), ensuring adequate and high-quality controls are in place and working effectively.


Responsibilities:

Support the Head of Controls Assurance in the design and implementation of controls assurance program.Support controls assurance specialists in reviewing and testing the effectiveness of IWPBs controls, including thematic reviews.Escalate and report on control effectiveness to line manager and senior management promptlyAdvanced communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to engage with all lines of defence, including support as required to internal and external audits.Be responsible for driving the implementation of Controls Assurance matters.Maintain effective oversight to quality/standards of controls across WPB.Manage the effectiveness and consistency of controls testing and address any gaps in the completion of end-to-end risk and control activities.Manage the control environment through early identification of any control gaps and robust controls testing.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
