Summary: The Senior Manager Demand Planning and Procurement will be responsible for issuing purchase orders, based on demand forecasts and supply plans to support sales objectives. Areas of focus include mastery of complex spreadsheets, ability to read and react to changes in sales trends/forecasts, creating MRP-based inventory forecasts, analyzing trend analysis and demand patterns from both BI and machine learning tools.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for systems and data to support forecasting, procurement and inventory management activities for footwear and footwear accessories. Lead monthly forecast meetings with sales, product management, eCommerce, operations, and marketing. Facilitate cross-functional alignment discussions and advise stakeholders on stock levels, trends and demand forecast recommendations. Create monthly purchase orders based on SKU level MRP calculations based on monthly demand forecasts and inventory coverage levels. Continuously monitor demand and identify issues affecting ATP and identify corrective action opportunities to improve fill rates. Formulate and execute annual inventory and receipt plans to support the U.S. footwear business while meeting financial targets. Work with product creation team to deliver inline, SMU, energy moment and sales samples on-schedule. Manage bi-annual communication around end-of-life coverage dates to limit closeout exposure during seasonal transitions. Support departmental operations in other areas on an as needed basis.Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations or Supply Chain required. 8 years of procurement experience, with 3-5 years related to footwear. Thorough knowledge of procurement and operation practices and principles. Supervisory experience, knowledge of golf and the golf industry are preferred. International and US travel; factory, supplier and market visits. Attention to detail, organization and problems solving skills are necessary. Advanced proficiency in Excel is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization. Excellent knowledge/experience with data analysis, Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP software SAP S/4HANA is preferred. Experience with R programming is a plus.
