Enterprise Comms & Martech Experiences (ECMX) is a global organization that sits within Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) and is American Express’ marketing services center of excellence with the charter of driving high quality, customer-first marketing that accelerates business growth through optimized go to market solutions and the development of best-in-class Martech products and processes. 

The Senior Manager of Digital Product Development will be a member of the Marketing Enablement Transformation team within ECMX. The vision of ECMX is to create frictionless, intuitive colleague journeys in support of innovative and impactful customer experience marketing, achieved via configurable, composable and automated technology underpinned by best-in-class product management. 

How will you make an impact in this role? 

This person will be responsible for the delivery of Features against our internal Marketing Technology roadmap. They will manage partnerships across multiple organizations including Marketing, Content Management, Creative Compliance Review, Marketing Operations and others to understand and define business needs for our products. This candidate will also partner very closely with our American Express Technology organization to solution, build, test and deploy product features to the organization. Demonstrating a detailed understanding of the Marketing Execution lifecycle and value chains, to identify areas of optimization and transformation.

Lead customer discovery efforts across multiple stakeholder teams to understand user needs, challenges and opportunities and solutions to address. Demonstrate the ability to translate business needs and requirements into technical solutions. Translate needs into a prioritized list of technical capabilities and features that will be used to drive solutioning and development activities in partnership with engineering. Coordinate product releases, lead accepting testing efforts and monitor post launch performance of features. Establishing 12+ month product roadmaps grounded within both value streams and value chains with well-defined and understood impacts and dependencies. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a product management / product owner function. Experience working within Agile software development methodologies and supporting tools and frameworks. Highly skilled communicator – both orally and via documented artifacts. Experience in building out highly complex and integrated product technology stacks. Comfort in leading and influencing discussions. Highly organized with the ability to successfully manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. Ability to quickly pivot and reprioritize as business strategies demand. Passion for marketing technologies and the evolving external technology landscape. Previous Salesforce or Adobe experience a plus.

Key Responsibilities Include: 

Develop and maintain a short/medium/long term product strategy that aligns to the needs of the business Build highly impactful visual aids to support discovery, solution design and architecture discussions with our engineering organization and facilitate alignment conversations across relevant stakeholder groups and partner product teams. Lead the business planning, prioritization, and technology assessment processes across our software development lifecycle.  Oversee product owner functions across our Agile development processes, partnering closely with the engineering scrum teams to ensure product features are clearly defined, have clear acceptance criteria and are properly tested and validated before launch.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
