Job Description – Senior Manager - Engineering

This position requires the skill sets and experience to handle the complete engineering execution & technical management from IKOM till SAT and site handover of multiple projects. The scope of projects to be handled will involve Supply of DCS/Safety system, PLC/RTUs hardware engineering, software development, FAT, site commissioning and SAT. This also include interface with various internal stakeholders like Sales, Proposals, Supply Chain management and external stakeholders like end users, customers, vendors, consultants, and 3rd party Inspection.

This role will have travel to customer/End-User sites across India for meetings, commissioning activities and post commissioning issues if any.  

This position involves approx..25% travel however same shall vary based on business requirement.

Roles & Responsibilities\:

Responsible to provide Engineering Leadership to the projects

People Manager responsible to lead a team of Engineers and Managers responsible for executing ICSS, Energy and Digital Engineering projects

Responsible for planning, executing major projects of Process Automation to maximize utilization, revenue and commercial margin while maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the project life cycle

Contributing to PA India Delivery (Engineering, Financial, Commercial, Quality etc.,)

Supporting hiring, training and development, performance management for the team

Contributing for the organization growth, business strategies as one of the leadership team members of PA India Delivery

Manage and lead the Projects and Engineering Management to maximize business performance in terms of revenue and profit margins whilst ensuring continued customer satisfaction

Supporting and collaborating with Sales, Proposals, SCM, Services for winning and executing projects

Coordinate and collaborate with Global Engineering Management (GEM) to ensure to implement best practices in Engineering, EVE based Engineering and remote FAT and utilization of GDO engineering efficiency tools to maximize automation in engineering activities

Define and support the team to achieve their performance and development goals aligning business growth strategies.

Updating project progress and status, participating PA India Delivery meetings and financial review, Comply to proposal and business development processes

Responsible for Engineering assurance and continuous improvement of Engineering processes

Implement and adhere relevant SE policies and guidelines

Technical strength, Customer focus, Quality deliverables and teamwork

DCS/Safety System/PLC/RTU HW engineering and Software experience, Site commissioning and SAT experience

Should have technically managed engineering execution of multiple projects with minimum 5000 IOs. in earlier assignments

Should have worked with any of these key players in earlier assignments – EIL, Technip, Worley, ThyssenKrupp, Tecnimont, Tata Power, NTPC, IOCL, BPCL, HPCL, RIL, Nirma, etc.,

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Proficiency on Foxboro DCS, Triconex Safety System, M580/Quantum/ M340 PLC SystemHands on knowledge to work on Foxboro Control Software, Control HMI, IACC, FoxDraw/FoxView, Wonderware System Platform/InTouch preferredOther make DCS/Safety System/PLC experience (Yokogawa/Honeywell/ Emerson/Siemens/ABB/Rockwell/GE Fanuc) are also acceptableUnderstand the customer RFQs and should be able to design the system architecture meeting the compliance.Work experience on soft communication – Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RS485, Profibus, DNP3.0, Profinet, Ethernet IPKnowledge of MCC & Field Instruments to hook-up with the Control/Safety/PLC systemGood analytical skills to understand customer inputs and Engineering Drawings is mandatoryFAT, Commissioning and SAT Experience is mustGood communication skills (English - must & Hindi - Preferred).Risk analysis & negotiation skillsShould be able to handle customer, consultants, and vendors in all phases of the project execution
