The Supply and Logistics team is responsible for keeping the appropriate levels of materials and/or stock supplies with the aim to maximize inventory control and company sales. Organizes deliveries to meet given deadlines and customer expectations. Supervises and tracks the flow of materials and products from suppliers throughout the organization.

The Engineering, Technology & Analytics team that you will be a part of supports the freight and warehousing operations through innovative engineering, cutting-edge technology, and strong analytics. As Senior Manager of Engineering and Ops Support, you'll lead a talented and diverse team of industrial engineers, systems analysts, inventory control specialists, and operational support professionals. You'll play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across our entire distribution network.
Your responsibilities will include Lead and mentor: Guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across Industrial Engineering, Systems Support, Ops Enablement, and Inventory Control functions. Engage and align key stakeholders across transportation, last-mile delivery, and warehouse operations to drive the definition, development, and implementation of process transformations and new technologies.Optimize operations: Analyze and optimize workflows, processes, and layouts within our network to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.Drive innovation: Participate in the implementation and champion the maintenance of systems that support our logistics operations, including WMS, YMS, route planning, and many other systems. Foster an innovation and automation mindset within the team, seeking opportunities to leverage technology and improve efficiency.Ensure accuracy: Oversee the accurate accounting of inventory across the entire network. Collaborate with distribution centers and finance teams to reconcile inventory records, investigate discrepancies, and maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.Manage costs: Oversee the timely and accurate resolution of freight invoices, including managing disputes and ensuring accurate payment processing to maintain smooth business operations. Drive cost savings projects by identifying and implementing initiatives that reduce expenses related to warehousing, distribution, and logistics. Control the Customer Fulfillment’s capital budget, inclusive of the prioritization of initiatives. Collaborate: Partner with stakeholders across various departments to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives.Transform the network: Define and execute on opportunities to optimize our distribution network, including developing roadmaps for robotics and advanced automation and pursuing new technologies to simplify freight payment and inventory control activities.Minimum requirements Proven leadership experience: 7+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or industrial engineering, with a demonstrated track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions to optimize logistics operations.Preferred skills and experiences Deep understanding of supply chain principles: Solid grasp of warehouse management, inventory control, transportation management, and lean principles.Experience with logistics systems and technology: Familiarity with WMS, LMS, and other relevant software applications, including Körber, Descartes, SAP, Project44, and the Google Suite of tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate with and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Masters Degree Additional informationWhirlpool’s Ways of Working
