Through our people, leadership development, services, technology and scale, Wabtec delivers better outcomes for global customers by speaking the language of industry. **Role Summary/Purpose** The **WITEC** **Finance Manager** role is a finance leadership role for our Global Centers of Excellence for Engineering & IT based in India and is the owner for related financial management. Responsibilities include overseeing and managing the monthly financial close process, strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the center’s profitable growth and balance sheet strength. The Finance Manager will work with cross functional leadership in Engineering, IT, HR, and Sourcing to review costs pertaining to all operations including the Tech labs. This position is a member of a cross-functional team and must be able to partner with leaders from other areas of the business including but not limited to Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Project Management and Human Resources, to achieve the business plan and would lead the finance planning and analysis for Engineering and IT across Wabtec India sites and own the consolidation and financial partnership for all related operations. **Essential Responsibilities** + Management/Leadership oversight of the Engineering & IT finance function, working closely with the Global Finance teams and Region central finance teams in India. + Partner with Centre leadership to develop business plans and strategies & realize organizational goals. + Coordination and evaluation of a harmonized activity rate model, working closely with the Engineering and IT Finance teams + Determining financial objectives, designing & implementing systems, policies & procedures to facilitate continuous process improvements to ensure best practices + Formulating budgets and conducting variance analysis to determine difference between projected & actual results and implementing corrective actions + Managing the timely preparation and presentation of statutory books of accounts to statutory auditors working with Regional Controllership teams and ensuring conformance to regulatory accounting standards at the legal entity levels + Ensure internal financial controls environment is established and is in compliance with US GAAP, SOX and country level legal statutory requirements + Support entity level filing of timely returns such as TDS, GST and Income Tax as per the relevant acts & interfacing with Tax Auditors and regulatory authorities for assessments and remittances, as required. + Liaising with the regional finance teams and external advisors as required + Preparing funds flow and cash flow statements and analysis for the center; monitor and ensure optimum utilization of available funds towards the accomplishment of corporate goals. **Qualifications / Requirements** + Master’s degree from an accredited university or college / Chartered Accountant Qualification + A minimum of 10+ years of finance, accounting, preferably in a manufacturing/engineering environment + Strong information systems/ERP system experience + Prior finance leadership roles **Desired Characteristics** + Prior experience managing a multi-functional Finance organization is preferred + Ability to work and prioritize under tight deadlines + Ability to summarize and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and with global and regional executives + Strong interpersonal and leadership skills + Prior experience of people management/team handling Wabtec Corporation is committed to taking on the world’s toughest challenges.
