The Senior Manager of Intercompany Accounting is responsible for intercompany accounting and reconciliations for both U.S. and foreign entities.  The Senior Manager provides global oversight for all intercompany balances in preparation for the month end close elimination process.  Additionally, this role provides accounting support in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

What you will be doing:

Partner with colleagues from different functions or different locations to coordinate and execute the monthly journal entry process for intercompanyPerform month-end close tasks and process accounting transactions for intercompany through the ERP subledger or manual journal entries timely and accuratelyPerform GL account analysis and account reconciliations for all intercompany areasReview global intercompany balances prior to commencing eliminations and explain variance between Intercompany AP and AR at entity levelEnsure financial results are in accordance with GAAPRecommend process improvements, and participate in or lead cross-functional initiatives to implement best practicesWork with Treasury, Tax, FP&A, A/P and A/R to support overall intercompany transactions and settlementMaintain a control environment in which the processes are consistent with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley and company policiesParticipate in cross-functional initiatives to improve processes and testing of new processesInteract with internal and external auditors to ensure the quarterly review and audit activities are executed in a timely mannerWork with team members to ensure successful accomplishments of individual and team goals and objectivesSupport ERP enhancements, reporting enhancements, and UAT testingDevelops, leads, manages and motivates staffConsults with business management on accounting mattersPlays a key role in the monthly and quarterly close processesParticipates in special projects to ensure financial accounting, reporting and company-wide operational issues are properly identified and addressedWorks closely with all financial and operational staff to ensure effective communicationPerforms ad hoc analysis as needed 

What you need:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting8+ years of experience with consolidation process and/or intercompany transactionsCPA preferredThorough understanding of GAAPStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with ERP general ledger systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organization skills with strong attention to detailStrong management skills, including team building, coaching and mentoring skills
