Senior Manager Internal Communication

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

The Global Corporate Communication team is responsible for enhancing and protecting the company reputation via message consistency and penetration as well as relevant employee engagement activities.

 

The role of the Senior Manager, Internal Communication, South East Asia (SEA) is expected to spend the majority of his/her/their time on building on the global and EM plans to develop/execute cluster specific plans to enable and drive employee communications with the objective of informing, motivating and inspiring Team SEA.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

CORPORATE STRATEGY – Use different channels and media tools to ensure SEA Team’s understanding of the company’s vision, mission and the strategy, including the rationale behind the goals and its key deliverables at a cluster level COMMUNICATIONS PLAN FOR THE COMPANY – Partner with GM and his senior leadership team across key functions to translate key corporate topics into a communication strategy and implement the strategy at the highest quality to ensure people’s understanding and engagement on these topics: EM and SEA business strategy and ambition The power of the brand and products Inspires team to live the adidas Values, celebrate DEI and drive a Growth Mindset COMMUNICATIONS PARTNER FOR LEADERS - Drive understanding and buy-in of assigned functions’ key strategic initiatives and priorities, in particular HR and Brand teams by developing compelling top-down leadership communication and bottom-up employee storytelling SUPPORT CHANGE MANAGEMENT - Establish organizational messages by working closely with SEA Senior Leadership Team and support with draft messages or scripts when needed (Strategy, Playbook, Business Update, Change Management etc.)  EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT - Drive impactful communication with a key focus to foster in-person employee engagement and establish a culture of transparent and interactive communication.  EMPLOYEE EVENTS - Create, plan and implement employee events to achieve the targeted communications objectives in a timely manner and within budget. COMMUNICATIONS TOOLS - Engage employees to adopt communications tools including a-Live, Viva Engage, Inside3Stripes and continuously create new and improved communications methods for entire concepts, stories and messaging for internal key events/activations/campaigns. CHAMPION EM AT GLOBAL LEVEL - Ensure timely alignment with Global Corporate Communication team, strong collaboration with Digital & Content Creation team to execute global plans in a hyperlocal manner for Team EM and SEA, acting as Key Accounts Person for EM in specific campaigns to be determined. MEASURE THE EFFORT - Develop and track communications efforts and utilize measurement to continuously improve communications, leaning into trends to optimize communication channel mix to maximize outreach and impact

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

Language: Highly fluent in English (written and spoken), other languages are an advantage Editorial: Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills in English Understanding of business topics: Ability to translate complex strategy to employees Event, Campaign Planning and Project Management: Ability to plan large scale events and coordinate with stake holders and event agencies Digital, Tech Savvy: Fast in digital trends and tools. Quick to understand the evolving communications channels landscape Creativity: Ability to identify new and exciting ways to engage employees and capture their attention Visual Communication: Strong skills in design (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, & etc.) Videography: Strong skills in design (Premier Pro, After Effect, & etc.) Photography: Strong skills in photography, editing Collaboration, Independence and Ownership: Ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance with regular follow-ups to other teams and key stakeholders Attitude: Adaptable, curious, positive, “can do” attitude, energetic with high levels of stamina. Interested in sports

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

University degree or equivalent in business, communications, journalism or marketing English fluent (written and oral) Minimum 8 years of relevant experience including corporate communication, internal communication, media relations, event organization, and issues management. Additional experience in media agency is helpful.
