Senior Manager - IT Partner and Vendor Management
A Day in Your Life at MKS: The Sr. Manager of IT Partner and Vendor Management is accountable to oversee the relationships with our key vendors and partners. This role involves managing contracts in partnership with Legal, ensuring compliance with service level agreements in partnership with IT owners, and optimizing performance of our external partners. You Will Make an Impact By: + Partner and Vendor Management – Develop and maintain a strong relationship with internal stakeholders and key IT vendors and partners. Participate in the negotiation of contracts, proactively manage renewals and establish mechanisms that allow for reporting on compliance to SLAs. Establish plans for short and long-term critical vendor management processes by establishing criteria for vendors by spend and service, defining requirements, roll out and activation working closely with IT owners. + Performance Monitoring – Regularly assess top 15 vendor performance against agreed upon metrics and KPIs. Work with IT owners to implement corrective actions when necessary to ensure optimal service delivery. + Collaboration – Work closely with internal teams to understand their needs and ensure that vendor services align with business objectives. Facilitate communication between vendors, IT owners and internal stakeholders were appropriate providing leverage to IT owners when CIO and OCIO require reporting or analysis on key vendor spend and performance. + Risk Management – Identify potential risk associated with vendor relationship or vendor management processes and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure that vendors adhere to security and compliance standards. + Cost Management – Monitor and manage the budget for vendor services. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Track spend to projects and services. + Team Management – Manage a small global team of IT Operations Specialists accountable to support function. Liaise productively with and influence related organizations for engineering software management and IT assert management. + Reporting – Prepare and present regular reports on vendor performance, contract status and other relevant metrics to senior management. This includes leading the process to identify key metrics from the partner and vendor space. + Continuous Improvement – Collaborate across stakeholders to identify pain points and propose remediations + Drive remediation and continuous improvement activities managing the intersection with Partner and Vendor management functions for changes identified by OCIO ways of working + Support stakeholders in process remediation by ensuring that they are aware of process changes and have the knowledge and skills to execute in new frameworks. Skills You Bring: + Deep understanding of procurement and operations within a technology environment to be able to provide added value to technology and business strategy discussions. + Deep expertise in IT vendor management. + IT proficiency (Applications, SDLC, and/or Infrastructure) + Experience managing complex, high-value third-party relationships in a regulated environment. + 10+ years IT Vendor Management relevant work experience, including prior experience as a service provider. Supervisory Scope: + Reports directly to the VP OCIO + Manages small team of dedicated IT Operations specialists globally This position can be Hybrid and must be within drivable distance to our location in Andover, MA.
