Senior Manager - Legal

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Counsel and Advisory Offer comprehensive legal advice and support to various business functions, ensuring legal compliance and mitigating risks in contracts, company policies, etc Identify, assess, and manage legal risks associated with business operations and provide proactive solutions to address potential issues. Contract Drafting, Review, and Negotiation Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, including global service agreements, vendor agreements, Staff augmentation agreements, partnership agreements, real estate agreements, and lease deeds. Maintain strong attention to detail and ensure contracts align with business interests and minimize legal exposure. Employment Law Compliance Provide counsel on employment laws, ensuring organizational compliance and efficient handling of employment-related legal matters. Collaborate with HR to address employment issues, support policy development, and resolve potential disputes. Intellectual Property Matters Advise and counsel internal customers on various IP matters involving copyrights, patents and trademarks. Agreement Templates and Documentation Develop and update agreement templates for efficient and standardized documentation across the organization. Ensure templates comply with organizational standards and reflect current legal practices. Internal Support and Collaboration Support the Head of Legal in executing day-to-day legal activities and collaborate closely with the Contract Management team to ensure timely deliverables. Provide guidance to other departments, fostering a collaborative environment to address legal and contractual queries. Advise on and drive legal workstream activities related to intra-group restructuring projects. (experience in M&A preferred). External Law Firm Management Establish and maintain effective relationships with external legal firms and manage outsourced legal work where necessary. Oversee litigation matters, coordinate with external counsel, and ensure effective resolution of disputes. Stakeholder Communication and Legislative Updates Regularly update internal stakeholders on legal risks and any significant legislative changes that may impact their functions. Provide training or guidance on legal developments, fostering awareness and compliance within the organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a reputed institution is required; Experience: A minimum of 10 years of legal experience, preferably in IT industry or a multinational environment. Proven track record in managing complex commercial agreements, legal advisory, litigation management, regulatory compliance, and legal risk management. Leadership and Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both senior leadership and external stakeholders. Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, adapt to shifting priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
