Senior Manager – Maintenance and Engineering

POSITION SUMMARY

A Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager partners with the site leadership team to drive the site’s operational success. This position will guide a team of maintenance professionals and engineers and be responsible for the physical plant including buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment, in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and fire prevention standards. Additionally, this position will manage plant engineering activities to include capital expenditures, designs, cost estimations, capital requests, and selection/construction projects. Located at our Florence, Kentucky site, the Senior Engineering and Maintenance Manager reports to the Plant Manager.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

A Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager is responsible for but not limited to the following:

Develops, coaches, and leads a staff of maintenance and engineering professionals  Manages the maintenance and engineering departments while identifying and implementing any improvements to align with business goalsEvaluates and implements cost savings and process improvements to ensure expense controls and cost savingsMeets or exceeds financial and budgetary goals for designated departments and the siteOversees the plant preventative maintenance program, including coordination, scheduling and ensuring completionChampions the improvement of an autonomous maintenance program Utilizes and advances the CMMS system for documentation, ticketing and maintenance management activities Leads various CAPEX projects from conception to completion in a timely and cost efficient mannerReviews and implements value adding maintenance KPIsDrives plant CI program that focuses on minimizing downtime, improving throughput, etc. Leads and participates in weekly and daily staff and management meetings Manages multiple project timelines, budgets and outside contractor relationshipsFacilitates vendor management and communication Directs high risk safety programs (LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, Etc.)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in a technical field; Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical/ Automation Engineering or equivalent work experience At least 5 years of work experience in process-oriented manufacturing (such as chemical, food, beverage), including a blending/mixing batch process with at least 3 years managing a team
