Role Summary The job holder is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive internal and external communication strategies that align with Sun Life Hong Kong's (SLHK) business goals and enhance the Company's reputation. This role leads all aspects of strategic communications, public relations, and reputation management to effectively engage diverse stakeholders, including employees, clients, partners, and media. He/she will work closely with various teams to ensure integrated and impactful messaging across all channels, while also managing crisis communications and reputation risks. This position plays a crucial role in promoting SLHK's brand, fostering employee engagement, and supporting the Company's overall business objectives through effective communication initiatives.Job Responsibilities 1. Develop and execute strategic communicationsDevelop and implement comprehensive internal and external communication strategies aligned with SLHK's business goals. Create tailored messaging for diverse stakeholders, oversee content creation and distribution across all channels, and measure effectiveness of communication initiatives.2. Manage reputation and crisis communicationsFormulate and manage robust reputation risk and crisis management procedures. Develop proactive and reactive crisis communication plans, conduct risk assessments, establish rapid response teams, and implement real-time monitoring of potential reputational threats.3. Lead public relations effortsDefine and execute a comprehensive PR strategy to promote Sun Life's brand and reputation. Build relationships with media and influencers, plan press events, train spokespeople, manage social media presence, and secure speaking opportunities for executives.4. Drive employee engagementDevelop and implement internal communications plans to engage employees across various channels. Draft executive communications, share company news, and promote company culture to unite employees behind SLHK's strategy.5. Collaborate with cross-functional teamsWork closely with Brand, Marketing, Event & Sponsorship teams to ensure integrated, impactful communications that align with overall brand positioning and marketing objectives. Coordinate with other departments to maintain consistent messaging across all platforms.Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related fieldMinimum 8-10 years of experience in communications or public relations. Candidate with experience from banking or insurance industry is a plus.Exceptional written and verbal communications skill across various mediumsProven track record in developing and implementing successful communication strategiesStrong media relations skills and crisis communication experience, with internal/employer brand experience is a plusDemonstrated ability to work with C-level executives and diverse stakeholdersWe offer 5-day work, attractive salary, MPF, group life and group medical insurance; and excellent career development opportunities to the right candidate.
