The role you’ll contribute:

The Senior Manager of Medical Staff at supports the Chief Physician Executive (CPE) or Chief Medical Officer (CMO) with management system processes and special projects related to Medical Staff. They will also support the Medical Executive Structure and team. The Senior Manager will support successful development and strategic execution in the areas associated with development, growth, and maintenance of the Medical Staff and programmatic initiatives created and implemented by the governance leadership team, its committees and subcommittee work.

The Senior Manager provides leadership for facilitation of strategic plan development, elements of strategic plan implementation and deployment of projects, operations and senior management communication across the areas and key stakeholders outside of the respective business units (ACS, AHI, and PHD leaders); and serves as chief aide in detailed execution as it relates to Medical Staff. Collaborates with the CPE/CMO, CAPPO, Risk Management leadership, and senior leadership on the integration of organizational performance excellence. Prepares materials and presentations for the CPE/CMO and leadership team to further the advancement of the Medical Staff to key stakeholders. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The Senior Manager investigates, researches, reports and provides guidance on Medical Staff strategies and specialty quality care in collaboration with Risk Management and Quality teams to inform and enhance cross functional safety, quality, and performance based on evidence-based medicine. Leads process improvement and project management activities to ensure strategies alignment with strategic initiatives involving medical staff. Consistently communicates and reports project status to leadership team with detailed and accurate information. Identifies strategic issues, recommends organizational changes, and collaborates with other leaders to implement necessary changes. Serves as a liaison between executives, provider leadership, and business partners and assists in the ranking and escalation of critical needs/issues. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Assists in the development and implementation of operational plans to support the CPE/CMO with medical staff structure and leadership team.

Facilitates strategic plan development, implementation, and deployment of projects for the medical staff team, its committees, and subcommittees.

Plans and develops agenda for key Executive Council meetings by collaborating with members of all AH business units and leaders to synthesize and prioritize agenda items.

Contributes research and data analytics as the governance leadership team, reviews and provides input on strategies and innovations – leads projects under the direction of the CPE/CMO.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications :

Four (4) years of experience in a health care setting

Four (4) years of leadership or project management experience; or bachelor’s degree in healthcare Related Field

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in performance management

Experience in leading organizational change

Experience in Medical Staff or Credentialing

Certification in a relevant performance improvement, project management or change management methodology (i.e., Lean, PMI, Prosci, etc.)
