OnsiteThe Senior Manager - New Product Introduction (NPI) will lead a team focused on ensuring a smooth transition of product designs into operations. This will drive operational predictability and repeatability, ultimately enhancing customer value. Your team will foster collaboration between Operations, Engineering, and Product Line Management throughout the development and transition of new products, influencing buy-in from all stakeholders to ensure manufacturability and readiness for high-rate production.
You will track day-to-day program and project status, support both internal and external customer meetings, ensure process compliance, assist with annual NPI strategic and financial planning, and serve as the primary point of contact for product transitions across sites.
As a manager, you will focus on individual employee development through coaching, mentoring, training, and career development plans. You'll optimize daily team performance, manage talent acquisition and retention, and ensure effective resource management. Your success will depend on building strong partnerships based on trust, transparency, and clear communication, using an inclusive and diplomatic approach to influence stakeholders.
Key skills for success include the ability to envision and implement strategic innovations and the agility to lead effectively in a matrixed environment, driving change to achieve organizational goals.
What You Will Do:
Serve as a liaison between Operations, Program Management, Design Engineering, and the end customer for bids and proposals with minimal oversight from management. Captures team involvement including proposal development, oral presentations, and financial planning.Ensure the Operations voice is considered in development decision-making. Build a collaborative working environment to accomplish team goals. Development and coordination of a new product introduction team. Oversight of the early builds, transition build team, and activities. Prioritize human resources to meet business objectives. Responsible for the selection of new employees as well as the development and performance management of current employees. Contribute to the development, modification, and review of New Product Introduction systems, processes, reporting methods, and tools. Support yearly Strategic and Operational Financial Planning activities. Commitment to 100% internal and external customer satisfaction, understanding the customer's needs, and providing exceptional goods and services. Familiar with the various aspects of engineering design, product development, design to cost (DTC), design for manufacture (DFM), design for testability (DFT), and product prototyping processes. Ensure Operations considerations such as producibility, testability, design to cost, component obsolescence, and other factors are considered early in the design development process. 5-10% domestic travel may be required.Qualifications You Must Have:
2+ years of leadership experience.Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience. The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
