In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of engineering project managers and construction professionals, overseeing all technical aspects of major construction projects that support SCE’s diverse fleet of power plants. These projects span facilities from dams in the Sierra Nevada mountains to combined cycle power plants in Redlands, diesel generators on Catalina Island, and more. **Responsibilities**
+ Develops long-term vision and strategic roadmap for the engineering project management competency
+ Cultivates relationships with business partners to achieve operational excellence, progress group performance, and proactively address emerging issues
+ Drive adoption of innovative project engineering methodologies and approaches in support of company initiatives
+ Manages a team of project engineers in the execution of large scale utility projects. Plans and coordinates project assignments and ensures the progress of engineering deliverables towards project objectives. Directs project portfolio planning and ongoing optimization of resources to advance key initiatives
+ Establishes guidelines for technical project documentation including design drawings, specifications, testing procedures, compliance requirements and commissioning plans
+ Promotes and facilitates collaboration between project teams and functional engineering groups in design, testing, and operations
+ Oversees project manager facilitation of engineering design reviews, constructability workshops, and technical issue resolution
+ Provides coaching and mentoring on engineering project management best practices and development of technical acumen
+ Ensure validity of group's engineering project management strategy, methods and plans.
+ A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management
+ Experience leading engineering project management teams.
+ Posses a valid Class C Driver's License.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master’s or advanced degree in Engineering
+ P.E. License or PMP Certificate
+ Extensive experience in production environments (power generation, construction, and utilities)
+ Proven ability to provide strategic direction, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and salary administration to staff
+ Demonstrated success in leading teams through periods of significant change and driving continuous improvement
+ Strong track record of developing and delivering project status updates and business recommendations to executive leadership
+ Ability to manage a high number of projects while balancing internal and external partner needs
+ Strong technical aptitude within power plant or dam operations
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building strong relationships and inspiring team members
**Additional Information**
+ This position’s work mode is **hybrid.** The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

+ Position will require up to 40% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
+ This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
