About the role:

The Sr. Manager of Product Planning is an important leader within Hach and a key member of the Product Management leadership team. This position leads a team of highly talented product management associates to drive the long-term roadmap and early-stage New Product Development (NPD) for Hach’s broad portfolio, which includes instruments, chemistries, solutions and software. 

In addition to leading highly talented associates, the successful Sr. Manager of Product Planning will develop and lead the implementation of plans to achieve the company’s strategic priorities and KPIs related to New Product Development (NPD). This position is also expected to assume responsibility for cross-functional company and/or cross-Product Management initiatives and meetings.

The position can be located in Loveland, CO, Berlin, Germany, or Duesseldorf, Germany.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

Providing leadership and driving cross-functional alignment to deliver company objectives, including but not limited to:

Leadership

Build and develop a highly engaged, high-performing, growth-oriented organization

Ensure the team is doing the right things (focusing on the critical few) and doing things right (leveraging VES and best demonstrated practices)

Motivate associates to perform at their highest levels

 Product Planning

Partner with R&D Engineering, Product Management, Marketing and Innovation to develop product roadmaps

Collect and distill Voice of the Customer (VOC) to provide input and feedback to solidify new product development concepts and validate product roadmaps

Partner with R&D Engineering to ensure we continue to achieve new and higher standards for planning and execution of NPD projects

Partner with Product Management, Marketing and Sales to ensure we continue to achieve new and higher standards for well-executed new product introductions

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field required; MBA or other Marketing advanced degree desired

7+ years with relevant senior level experience in strategy, product development, product design, portfolio management, and product commercialization; preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Proven ability to lead in a matrixed environment, attract top talent, develop high performers, and drive accountability across teams.

Expertise in product delivery, milestone development, and stakeholder collaboration to drive successful outcomes.

Strong experience in financial modeling, business case development, and KPI measurement to guide strategic initiatives.

Ability to analyze complex business needs, assess constraints and competitive factors, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Demonstrated success in driving strategic leadership, prioritizing competing tasks, and fostering innovation within large-scale organizations.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
