Overview The Senior Manager of Security Architecture is a key leadership role, reporting directly to the Director of Security Architecture, and will serve as a driving force behind the organization’s secure technology landscape. This individual will balance people leadership with hands-on technical expertise, guiding a team of skilled security architects while actively contributing to solution design and implementation. The role focuses heavily on modern security practices, including API security, identity and access management, and the secure enablement of cloud-based services. How do we work and what do we offer? Responsibilities What are your daily tasks? Drive secure architecture strategies for cloud-based environments (Azure, GCP, and/or private clouds), emphasizing network security, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and DevOps best practices. Balance strategic and tactical responsibilities, from shaping long-term security roadmaps to rapidly executing on short-term priorities. Ensure systems are designed for high availability and fault tolerance, delivering on strict SLAs and compliance mandates. Adopt a “fail fast” or “succeed fast” approach, using POCs and pilots to quickly validate architectural decisions. Define and maintain a set of reusable, proven architectural patterns, frameworks, and reference models to accelerate quality solution delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, application development, and infrastructure, to integrate security seamlessly into the entire development lifecycle. Evolve standards over time to keep pace with changing technology stacks, threat vectors, and business requirements. Qualifications What will you bring to the team? Preferred 5 years of overall experience in Information Security, with a strong background in security architecture. At least 2+ years in leadership roles. Proven track record in designing and delivering large-scale, mission-critical architectures in complex, hybrid cloud environments (Azure, GCP, or private clouds). Significant expertise in API security, (at least one of: OAuth, JWT, mTLS) and identity/access management solutions. In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, encryption, and distributed systems, as well as infrastructure-as-code and DevOps pipelines. Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, developing talent, promoting collaboration, and driving results through influence and expertise. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear articulation of strategies, principles, and architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Track record of delivering results in globally distributed teams, providing mentorship and coaching to architects and engineers.
