Senior Manager Operations
**Job Overview:** The Operations Manager position demands a comprehensive understanding of Welding principles, leadership in workforce management, recruitment and assessment, and familiarity with a broad range of disciplines including compliance, risk management, and logistics. The Operations Manager must leverage extensive industry experience to enhance productivity, mentor others, influence company-wide processes and policies for workforce management, and resolve multifaceted technical, operational, and organizational issues that affect project delivery and success. **Key Tasks and Responsibilities:** + Play a leadership role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed + Recruit, train, assess and manage a team of welding personnel for deployment for onshore and offshore Pipeline and Construction projects globally. + Create, manage and publish rotational plans for all work sites, ensuring personnel with correct experience and skills are deployed and rotated out as required. + Establish and maintain stringent quality control standard for welding operations and welding personnel. + Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality, and suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency. + Analyze and resolve work problems or assist supervisors and foremen in solving work problems + Approve personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, terminations, and disciplinary actions + Adopt company health, safety, and environment programs and ensures implementation. + Ensure that company objectives, policies, programs, and procedures are consistently adhered to + Use available reports to manage project scope and ensure the appropriate steps are taken to build the project successfully in the field + Emphasize a culture of safety throughout the project and ensures the safety plan is executed relentlessly + Ensure project control activities and costs are managed daily and that appropriate actions are taken to ensure consistent deliverables and successful project execution + Demonstrate business acumen within area of responsibility + Understand the change management process + Complete all daily reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner + Conduct risk management analysis daily working with project leaders to ensure timely mitigation and documentation + Oversee, direct, and coordinate manpower, equipment, material, and subcontract activities to the project schedule + Oversee, direct, and coordinate welder training, assessment and testing and handover to completions + Ensure the material management plan is followed as well as any change control processes + Understand and support the development of a detailed schedule for specific areas of responsibility + Ensure scheduling, sequencing of activities, and all changes are incorporated, developed, controlled, managed, and communicated as required and actions are taken to ensure timely execution + Ensure the quality management plan is followed and verifies the quality of work being installed meets and/or exceeds expectations + Ensure compliance with all relevant welding codes and standard **Essential Qualifications and Education:** + 10+ years construction experience with 7+ years supervisory experience and preferably 2+ years in Management / Leadership position. + A previous welding supervision role preferably with Automatic Pipeline Production experience + Experience in all relevant aspects of on-site and offshore pipeline construction, as well as Offshore Marine Construction + Familiarity with company scheduling programs + Computer literate with extensive experience in project and production reporting and management + Manpower planning experience is essential + Industrial construction background + High focus on ensuring that all aspects of the construction work is performed safely and within budget and schedule. + Planning and organizing + Quality Work standards + Quality orientation + Working knowledge of energy efficiency industry + Respected for uncompromising integrity, work ethic, and professionalism + Energetic with a positive and enthusiastic disposition, possessing a can-do attitude Project focused, values oriented, and results driven **Preferred Qualifications and Education:** + Global vessel pipeline operations management + Personnel and rotational planning + Welder training and assessing capabilities + Offshore structural fabrication oversight + Management of Firing Line subcontractors + Expertise in welding, AUT, and coating processes \#LI-DA1 Our ingenuity fuels daily life.
