Job DescriptionJob Purpose:
This role is responsible for leading the successful operational execution of new market entries across Minor Food's international portfolio. The Director will be the project lead for all new franchise market openings, coordinating cross-functional teams and working closely with franchise partners to ensure smooth and on-brand launches.
The role will also take ownership of operationalizing new brand concepts from the Incubation Center, developing franchisable formats by codifying brand standards, SOPs, training materials, and operating systems that allow for scalable and consistent replication across markets.
Main Responsibilities:
New Market Opening Project Management
Act as the operational project leader for new market entries, coordinating efforts across design, culinary, marketing, supply chain, training, and partner onboarding.Ensure each market launch adheres to brand operational standards across front- and back-of-house, product quality, service, and ambiance.Serve as the key liaison between Minor’s internal teams and external franchise partners throughout the pre-opening phase.Track milestones, manage timelines, and proactively address risks to ensure seamless launches.Brand Standard Implementation & Partner Enablement:
Educate new franchise partners on brand standards including operational SOPs, ingredient specifications, store design guidelines, and guest experience.Develop onboarding toolkits and playbooks to support consistent rollout across diverse markets.Conduct operational audits and opening support to ensure launch success and post-opening stabilization.Incubation Center Brand Development:
Lead the transformation of emerging brands within the Incubation Center into scalable franchise-ready concepts.Build and document end-to-end operational systems, brand manuals, SOPs, and training programs for new concepts.Partner with culinary and marketing teams to define product and service experiences that can be consistently replicated.Operational Excellence & Brand Compliance:
Support continuous improvement of operational execution across markets.Conduct regular reviews and audits with franchise partners to identify areas for performance improvement.Lead troubleshooting and provide hands-on operational support as needed during critical market phases.Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work in tandem with Business Development, Design & Construction, Supply Chain, Training, Marketing, and Culinary teams to deliver integrated solutions for new markets.Serve as the operational voice in franchise deal structuring, ensuring the delivery model is feasible and aligned with brand objectives.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Franchise Management, or a related field.10+ years in food service operations, with proven experience in international market launches or franchise rollouts.Experience in developing SOPs, training programs, and scaling emerging concepts is strongly preferred.Exceptional project management skills with a structured and solutions-oriented mindset.Strong knowledge of F&B operations, ideally within multi-brand environments.Strong cross-cultural communication and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on, and entrepreneurial environment.Willingness to travel frequently and work across multiple time zones.
