**Job Summary:**
Direct an assigned production area in the manufacture and/or assembly of quality parts to meet established production requirements. Owns and sets the overall direction for the value stream(s) in a given area, with overall responsibility for PQVC performance of the value stream(s) including MQ12005 certification and CPS Assessment scores. Reporting directly to this position are Section Managers and various levels of Operations support personnel.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Ensures effective operation of an assigned area of manufacturing to meet established schedules and production requirements while maintaining cost. Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and manpower to achieve manufacturing cost, quality, and inventory management target.
+ Monitors customer delivery performance, cost reduction programs, lead-time improvements, and quality improvement projects that will enhance customer value and business unit results.
+ Establishes cost and quality goals and ensures the efficient integration of factory, logistics, maintenance and quality to achieve targets for assigned area.
+ Ensures proper direction and supervision of activities in assigned area to maintain effective utilization of personnel and machinery.
+ Implement various corporate initiatives such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Internal Certification, etc.
+ Promotes development of people through continued education, employee involvement, increased responsibility and ergonomics. Trains new supervisors on manufacturing quality. Sets goals and assists team in meeting quality goals/standards.
**Degree Requirement:**
Mechanic Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related to the field.
Intermediate-Advanced English-speaking level required.
**What skills you will have:**
**Quality Management:**
+ BIQ concepts and Methodology application to make sure all his/her teams understand this lean principle.
+ CQMS knowledge and Methodology application. Understand the CQMS execution model to train his/her people and make sure all Quality system is followed.
+ APQP and PPAP knowledge and Methodology application. Understand concepts and APQP quality tools to make sure methodology is followed and deployed in all operational areas under his/her responsibility.
**Performance Management:**
+ Ensure this person understand all management performance tools and this way, he/she can measure performance in his/her organizational structure.
**Manufacturing Operations.**
+ Understand high precision machining and grinding process to make sure this person can coach his/her team.
+ Understand Assembly operation and critical characteristics of that process to make sure his/her team now them.
+ Clear understanding on 5Ss methodology, GEMBA walks process, STF, Lean, TOC.
**Manufacturing Safety:**
+ Understand and practice Safety Driven principles to make sure he/she can cascade with the rest of his/her group.
+ Understand how SFMEAs work to make sure he/she trains his/her Section Managers.
**Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies.**
+ Have a complete understanding about how Standard Work works and why that is the main document in operations.
+ Use Standard work, IPV, CP, PFMEA as standard procedures to operate and generate improvements in the process.
+ Understand RIT (Reglamento Interior del Trabajo) to have a very good understanding about roles and responsibilities for his/her hourly people.
+ Understand and use all Safety protocols and safety rules to make sure all his/her employees keep safety.
**Top candidates will have:**
CPS & six sigma training and certification.
Master’s degree related with manufacturing.
**Additional information**
+ Position located in Cienega de Flores.
+ Availability is required depending on the support needs of the production line. Your work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:30am-5pm, subject to change from Monday to Saturday. On Saturday’s the schedule is set for 6:30am-2:30pm.
+ Domestic relocation is not offered
