Therefore, a Responsible AI Office is essential to innovate responsibly, adhere to ethical principles, and build the trust necessary for AI adoption. As a member of the Responsible AI Office, the Senior Manager - Responsible AI Risk Management is responsible for orchestrating risk management across the various AI initiatives of PepsiCo. The role collaborates with AI implementation teams to define and align appropriate risk management strategies in line with the Responsible AI framework and oversee adherence to the framework across the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the emerging area of AI Governance, be an expert AI translator, and have the knowledge and experience to support teams to focus on managing the risks of AI whilst achieving the business goals. Responsibilities Oversee AI risk management by integrating risk mitigations and compliance activities into implementation plans, ensuring adherence to the Responsible AI (RAI) framework and effective risk management throughout the AI lifecycle. Collaborate with cross functional experts to establish standardized risk controls, streamlining risk management across all AI initiatives Facilitate the classification of AI projects within governance processes, ensuring a risk-based approach that supports business outcomes through responsible AI use. Review AI intake documentation from business and vendors, ensuring alignment with PepsiCo’s RAI framework Conduct risk assessments of AI initiatives identifying risks, mitigations, and regulatory compliance in partnership with cross functional expert groups. Support regulatory readiness evaluations partnering with legal teams Support technical teams in testing high risk AI systems Facilitate the approval process for high-risk AI, ensuring leadership alignment Partner with the AI Governance team and expert groups to continuously improve the effectiveness of risk management Support executive steering committees and leadership briefings Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $137,400 - $230,300. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or technical field. Minimum 10 years working in roles where Business transformation, Data Science and AI are interlocked. Minimum 7 years’ within large, multinational organizations, primarily within FMCG experience in strategy or technology roles.
