As an airline, safety is our most important principle. And our Corporate Safety team is responsible for making sure safety is top of mind in every action we take. From conducting flight safety investigations and educating pilots on potential safety threats to implementing medical programs and helping prevent employee injuries, our team is instrumental in running a safe and successful airline for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager of Safety Innovation - Aircraft Damage and Injury Prevention will lead the charge in pioneering safety enhancements, preventing aircraft damage, and mitigating injury risks. This role is pivotal for an individual who is passionate about advancing aviation safety and is driven to implement innovative solutions that protect both equipment and personnel.

Develop and manage a comprehensive safety innovation strategy that encompasses aircraft damage and injury preventionCollaborate with various departments to lead innovation projects and efforts to integrate safety innovations into daily operations Evaluate and introduce new technologies and methodologies that could significantly reduce the risk of aircraft damage and personal injuriesSpearhead initiatives to foster a safety-first culture within the organizationStay abreast of industry safety trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company’s practices are at the forefront of aviation safetyDefine and track key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of safety initiatives

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field; 7- 10 years of experience in the aviation industry with a strong emphasis on safety management and innovationDemonstrated experience in leading safety programs and initiativesExceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsOutstanding communication and leadership capabilitiesCommitment to continuous learning and improvement in the field of aviation safetyAbility to collaborate effectively with teams across the organization in a dynamic environmentMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Master's degree or related experience
