Roles and Responsibilities: + Manages and controls the overall activities of all stations in assigned division, including terminal(s), including supervision of staff, administration of major contracted services, structural and building systems, supervision of maintenance and custodial personnel and vendors safe operations. + Administers and interprets technical specifications for contracted services, guides and mentors Station Management staff to develop talent. Analyzes budgets and department finances. + Coordinates all internal and external activities directly relating to assigned terminal(s), including procurement issues, real estate issues, lease administration, City, State and Federal Departments and Regulating Agencies, AMTRAK, PATH, SEPTA, Special Events, Marketing, Community and Public Relations, NJTPD, Safety, Transportation and Capital Planning & Programs. + Manages staff to ensure contractor compliance with specifications, and to ensure work is completed in a manner satisfactory to NJ TRANSIT. Works with Risk Management, Internal Audit, and Legal as necessary to protect the interests of the company. + Coordinates with other NJ TRANSIT operating groups to ensure positive customer experience. + Recommends changes to operating patterns as needed at stations on assigned division. Education, Experience, and Qualifications: + Associates Degree in Transportation, Engineering, or Business and 5 (five) years of applied progressive experience working in operations, operations administration, facilities management, or transportation required, to include at least three (3) years of Supervisory experience. + Experience working for a railroad company preferred. + One (1) year of closely related experience may be substituted for each year of Education required. Knowledge and Skills: + Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access is desired. + Familiarity with field work including 3rd party railroads, agencies, and municipalities desired. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations + Driver’s License in the State of New Jersey required. Working Environment + Field Operations at Station Facilities Physical Demands + Extensive driving required.
