TE Connectivity's Supplier Development Teams find and develop suppliers to support the strategic sourcing organization in driving incremental performance in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They teach new suppliers on how to work with TE (portal access, e-procurement tool usage, TE procedures, etc.). They extend TE Operational Advantage into the supply base to generate continuous improvement in the extended value stream, deliver incremental improvements through supplier development lead projects and achieve improvement targets specific for supplier development. They also help drive selection and development of the best total cost supply option in the region where the commodity or service is consumed. They keep abreast of emerging market options and inform the broader procurement organization of trends and new supply options.

The Corporate SD Sr. Manager supports and leads cross functional training and supplier workshops for cost improvement with his / her Corporate SD Team

Your main tasks: Owns Corporate global supplier development strategy and alignment with regional BU cross functional team leading the Corporate SD Team members Sets FY roadmap and targets for supplier improvements following the QCDTS Toolbox. Accountable for global supplier development cost improvement KPIs along with his/her Corporate SD Team members. Collaborates with CL commodity teams and COE team to identify opportunities and suppliers. Responsible for annual Scope 3 improvement metrics for Corporate SD all commodities. Assign the responsible Corporate SD Analyst to support technical workshops at suppliers for cost improvement in collaboration with BU Quality & Procurement. Assign the responsible Corporate SD Analyst to provide technical support at suppliers including Process Improvement, TE BEST & BIC processes, RTD and Scope 3. Coordinates Corporate New supplier onboarding process and is considered Training Expert. Reports functionally (dotted line) to the TE Director of Supplier Quality and Development Your ideal background:B.S. degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related field At least 5 years of professional experience in the relevant manufacturing technology. Knowledge on CQI related to their process of expertise. Should be consider “expert” in his corresponding commodity At least 3 years of experience within supplier development or process improvement At least 3 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing At least 5 years leading people regionally / globally Demonstrated skills in a matrix environment Expert knowledge on specific manufacturing process as required (e.g. Molding, Stamping, Plating, PAB/PCBA, Packaging) Ability to work across cultures and geographies effectively.
