Global Business Services (GBS) is part of Sanofi Consumer Healthcare (CHC), a team of about 400 people dedicated to improving business operations and empower teams to deliver sustainable value, accelerate simplification, innovate, and harmonize solutions through trusted partnerships. It also helps regulate and ensure next-level partnership with its diverse set of stakeholders through digital driven experiences.
The GBS mission is to contribute to CHC simplification by developing and implementing a new operating model to execute some of the financial & accounting processes (Account-to-Report, Customer-Invoicing- to-Cash, Source-to-Value, Master Data Management, among others). GBS aims to deliver efficiency by leveraging best in class methodologies and strategically contributing to CHC simplification, while driving mindset and cultural changes.
Brief summary on the role:
The purpose of A2R Direct Tax and Transfer Pricing Lead (A2R) –is to implement technical support to A2R function and bridge between Tax and A2R team in line with the global A2R core and operating models.
The role will have the overall accountability of tax compliance operations to deliver best-in-class service and to partner with regional and country stakeholders when needed.
Responsibilities:
Account-to-Report (A2R) is one of the end-to-end processes and part of Sanofi Consumer Healthcare GBS. The role of the Direct Tax and Transfer Pricing Lead is to support Sanofi A2R operations in compliance of taxation.
The following activities:
Preparation Income tax returns, tax audit, TP AuditCoordinating with tax auditors/TP auditors/statutory auditors for the purpose of Tax audit/TP audit/DSIR certification.Preparation of income tax schedules for statutory audit purposePreparation of Transfer Pricing documentation for the purpose of Income TaxSupporting RPT compliances, and segmentation for TP and related parties for benchmarkingReview of TDS on salaries and on other expenses, supporting to issue relevant certificateTDS & TCS compliancesManaging Deferred tax computation and other reporting to the same in MyTax Package of the group etcCBCR compliancesProviding support for data provision for assessment and appellate proceedingsPreparing of MIS for direct TaxEnsuring timely filing of refund claim.Data management and analysing the same from Risk and opportunities perspective in conjunction with Head of tax.Analyzing co-relation between direct and indirect tax records/submissions, anticipate and prepare for potential queries and actions with the Head of Tax/HFOReconciliations of the Accounts from Tax GL point of viewProcess improvement
In close collaboration with the Country Tax Head improving the processPromotes standardization and simplification of return and other statutory filing processLeverages operational experience and contributes to design/continuous improvement of tax compliance processesStakeholders’ management / user experience
Cultivates strategic partnerships: Head of Finance Operations (HFO), Head of tax, Statutory Auditors, Consultant, CounselsSets up close relationships with all stakeholders when needed to allow smooth communication, efficient change management and issue resolutionSPOC between Tax team and A2R team to bridge the requirements from audit/ assessment perspective.Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience
5+ years of experience in Finance with direct work experience in managing tax compliance including direct, indirect and international taxationTrack record in process improvement.Multicultural environmentsPast work experience with Big four will be an added advantageExpected skills
Very good understanding of Accounting processes, Indian Income tax, Transfer Pricing Regulations from both Income Tax & Corporate Governance standpointGood knowledge of SAP and of digital technologies Ability to think strategically, and also to deep dive into operational problems when requiredAbility to build good collaboration with stakeholders and other departments and work transversallyVery good change management skillsStrong delivery and problem-solving skills Very good communicator with an ability to discuss at all levels within Sanofi and externallyPursue progress, discover extraordinaryBetter is out there.
