It's a colorful world - make your mark by joining the BIC team today. **Summary: ** As a **Senior Manager for Warehousing and Distribution** you will be tasked with guiding teams and supervisors across various locations to surpass set objectives, showing a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and a pursuit of quality and innovation. It’s crucial to maintain the integrity of the supply chain by delivering prompt and precise evaluations of expenses, financial plans, and initiatives. The role involves crafting proactive strategies and ensuring their effective implementation. Managing resources efficiently is key to achieving operational superiority and fulfilling or surpassing the financial targets of the site. Additionally, fostering a culture of safety without incidents is essential at the operation. You will prioritize meeting or exceeding both internal and external customer expectations with direct oversight on a regional scope for NAM including but not limited to Arlington, TX and Charlotte, NC.   **Job Responsibilities: ** + Create a positive team dynamic that encourages all team members to provide feedback and drive change within the facilities, adapt to the ever-changing business, and stay focused on the customer experience   + Manage multi-site responsibility of inventory and staff throughout North America + Develop training programs for supervisors to ensure that associates are trained and competent and understand how their work relates to BIC’s business objectives  + Lead distribution center management team (~3 direct reports) and personnel (~200 indirect reports) in daily activities to ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded in terms of safety, quality, cost & delivery  + Conduct bi-annual performance management, build succession planning for departments, and talent reviews for direct reports and indirect reports to align with BIC’s talent development strategies  + Develop and execute comprehensive people development and succession planning strategies, enhancing talent pipeline and ensuring organizational readiness for future leadership needs  + Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive transformational change through initiatives such as; by conducting time studies, research, and development in new workflow and enhance “units per hour” for profitability  + Share labor management analysis on weekly basis to identify labor management sharing to optimize profitability and customer needs   + Identify and/or solve operational issues by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives, to strengthen team unity, goals, productivity and result  + Support all aspects of ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) implementation and projects related to automation and transformational initiatives for a $8M high-density equipment  + Support import and export inbound and outbound materials within NAM   + Oversee the On-Time Shipping, inventory and financial audit controls, CFR and OTIF metrics to guarantee customer requirements are fulfilled  + Maintain cycle count metrics to provide a high level of inventory accuracy to support the business  + Responsible to manage over, short and damage claims, identify gaps and actions to improve overall customer feedback related to shipping processes  + Assure effective customer service and relations through timely delivery of quality products. Ensures strong relationships are developed and maintained with key customers and vendors  + Assume $20M P&L oversight including the development and achievement of budgetary goals to ensure the long-term viability of the distribution center    + Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs  + Provide Indirect oversight of $150M of monthly inventory   + Demonstrates appropriate cost control of direct/indirect labor, materials, and supplies. Institute programs that lead to continuous improvement of quality, waste elimination and reductions of costs  + Partner cross-functionally with other areas of the business to successfully achieve company goals.  Areas to include Quality, Human Resources, Corporate Office, Safety, Temporary Agencies, and Maintenance to ensure successful execution of operational plans.   + Ensure warehouse operation and daily shipment goal is met   + Lead a culture of safety through personal example. Partner with onsite safety manager to develop, execute, and assess continuous improvement plan to reduce accident and injury frequency.  Proactively identify and correct unsafe conditions, work processes, and behaviors. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures. Coach through safety observations  + You’ll have a regular presence on the warehouse floor   ** Qualifications ** + Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred.  + 10+ years of warehouse, supply chain, logistics, distribution, or other related management  + Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead a team that is results-oriented and collaborative. Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation and team building skills.  + Significant experience in budget accountability team member evaluations, and multi-site oversight  + 8+ years of experience building people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front line hourly and salaried team members  + Proven track record in leadership and people management, with impeccable ethics  + Excellent problem solving & prioritization skills demonstrated through a sense of urgency, solid judgment, and reasoning ability, proven in a fast-paced & rapidly changing environment  + Must be able to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships within a team, within all departments in Charlotte Distribution Center, and across the BIC organization    + Excellent oral and written communication skills  + Proficient computer skills with fluency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)  + Metrics driven mindset  + Working knowledge of Logistics automation – scanning equipment, RF systems, conveyors, AS/RS and high-speed sortation systems  + Demonstrated ability to successfully drive continuous improvement  + Proficient in use of WMS and ERP systems  + Knowledge of Hazardous Material handling a plus  + Must be able to travel up to 50%.
