Senior Manager-Workplace Health & Safety
Position Summary

Support AVP WHS to develop, socialize, manage and execute Corporate WHS programmes across BUs and all properties in Macau. Develop and manage, implement and continual review of the workplace, health & safety management systems including WHS inspection / audit, accident investigation, risk management, contractor safety, policies, procedures and practices across GEG property in Macau. Support the development and implementation of corporate level WHS programmes, related training curriculum, monitoring and tracking systems, meeting various international standards such as ISO45001

Primary Responsibility

1. Support the development and responsible for managing, maintaining the Corporate Workplace Health and Safety policy for GEG properties across Macau.
2.  Responsible for managing the respective WHS working group and provide regular reports to WHS Management Committee and assist AVP WHS in coordinating the Corporate GEG WHS Steering Committee.
3. Direct liaison with all BUs for Workplace Health and Safety Standards.
4. Provision of suitable and current information and supervision concerning Workplace health and safety policies and practices.
5. Liaison as necessary with other organizations and relevant authorities, including Macau Fire Service Department, Labour Bureau and Health Bureau, providing assistance and cooperation concerning audits and remedial actions.
6. Conduct routine Workplace Health and Safety Management Audits and work with all relevant stakeholders to act on agreed deficiencies and improvement.
7. Proper and timely assessment of risks to work processes, workplace health and safety, and implementation of measures and arrangements identified as necessary from the assessments.
8. Support the development and responsible for managing (partnering with EHS, HR, T&D, CEM, IC&E and BUs) the execution of workplace safety culture training and awareness programmes across all BUs and properties in Macau.
9. Responsible for analysing WHS injury incidents and trends and produce regular monthly WHS reports.
10. Monitoring, surveying, assessing and reporting on workplace/occupational health and safety practices and systems including lost time injury reporting.

Requirements

Management (OSHM)
• Holder of various professional certifications (or Higher Diploma) such as Workplace, Occupational Health & Safety.
• Corporate Member of Institute of Occupational Safety and Health or ISO Lead Auditor preferable.
• Registered Safety Supervisor with the Labour Department preferable
• Minimum 6 years experience in Workplace health & safety.
• Familiar with Macau Government codes and regulation.  
• Familiar with international standards such as ISO45001.
• Ability to work independently and a good facilitator.
• Confident to work with cross functions, especially at corporate level.
• Demonstrate team spirit and cooperation.
• Fluent in both English & Cantonese.
• Speaking of Mandarin preferable.
• Proficient in computer skill.
