The Product Lead is responsible for driving product development of quality measurement related products at the National Quality Forum and the Joint Commission. The Product Lead will oversee and manage teams that support the conceptualization, research, and development of products that incorporate standards and quality measures for the evaluation of health care organizations for customers that include hospital facilities, provider organizations, and payers. The Product Lead will report to National Quality forum leadership and leverage the Joint Commission Mission Development and Organizational Engagement (MDOE)-led enterprise-wide product development processes and resources.
Responsibilities Responsible for supporting the design and development of products from concept to production, including market research, pricing analyses, and interviews to understand user needs and pain points.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize and validate design concepts through rapid prototyping and testing.Provide technical guidance to product and measures development teams.Utilize agile methodologies to iteratively design and refine product concepts.Champion a data-driven approach to decision-making, leveraging analytics and user feedback to inform design iterations.Establish and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability across all products and platforms.Advocate for user-centric design principles and best practices throughout the product development lifecycle. QualificationsPosition requires demonstrated product development experience and an ability to lead teams and to collaborate cross-departmentally. Specific education/experience requirements are as follows.
Education/Certification:Advanced degree in business administration, systems engineering, or related field.Experience:Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including knowledge of product development within the health care field. Minimum of 8 years of experience managing people, budgets, and projectsMinimum of 8 years of experience leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring individuals and/or teams and holding staff accountable for resultsProven track record leading and managing multiple complex projects and competing priorities to achieve optimal resultsExperience conducting market research, including user interviews/focus groups, testing, competitor trend studiesDemonstrated experience developing budgets and forecasts for projects and managing utilization targetsStrong knowledge of value-based payment design and implementation; familiarity with the technical aspects of assessing health care quality and equityExperience with health plan contracting, health insurance incentives, health care data exchange mechanisms and data sharing arrangements, electronic health record vendors, and clinical registries a plusSkills/Abilities:Knowledge of product development methods and best practices, including product roadmappingDemonstrated communication skills, including writing and oral presentation skills related to presenting options, considerations, and issues for decision-makingAbility to prioritize and direct resources to achieve and maximize resultsStrategic thinking to ensure product decisions align with overall business goals, market trends, and customer needsFoster a culture of innovation within the team and organization, promoting a mindset of agility, flexibility, and continuous improvement.Mastery guiding staff on project organization, execution, risk management, continuous improvement and completion of deliverables.Ability to effectively facilitate change and encourage others to followLeadership and development of staff teams and effective interactions with colleaguesAuthentically displays joy in the collaborative process and fosters enthusiasm for the work, cohesion, and enjoyment among staff.
