Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and documenting the manufacturing scope for programs, leading the creation of new manufacturing processes and work instructions, and providing feedback for the design of ground support equipment (GSE).
ResponsibilitiesDesign an optimized manufacturing process flow to meet customer product quality and on-time delivery.Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods driving on quality, cost, and first pass yield improvement.Develop and execute solutions to technical problems of high scope/complexity.Plan and monitor resource utilization.Draft technical documentation in conjunction with design engineers.Take ownership and maintain documentation for complex, high-reliability assemblies.Create and maintain documentation for trainings, internal processes, and non-conformances.Represent the manufacturing team in Critical Design, Manufacturing Readiness, and Test Readiness Reviews.Model exemplary professional conduct as a representative.Generate technical document reporting and presentations.Review and timely release Flight and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) drawings.Write activity and project reports, develop action plans, and generate work instructions, test procedures, and other documentation to support production operations.Travel domestically up to 5% of the time.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsAerospace experienceAcceptance TestingLean ManufacturingContinuous ImprovementsSolidWorksFamiliarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Experience working with solar and antenna arrays in an aerospace fieldAdditional Skills & QualificationsProficiency with Visio, Excel, and MS ProjectAble to work in a rapidly growing, low-volume/high-mix manufacturing environmentA growth mindsetFlexible and able to work well under pressureFoster teamwork with assemblers, technicians, and engineersEffective oral and written communication skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsWork Environment
