As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will have a critical support role in our Advanced Thermal Systems team, as we work closely with our customers to define the future of commercial electric vehicles. You will be responsible for the optimization and expansion of production lines. You will perform a variety of Manufacturing Engineering duties including manufacturing floor support, process development, process improvement, and capital equipment acquisition.
This role is based in Franklin, WI and will report to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering - Advanced Thermal Systems.
Key Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of a Value Stream including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity, and Growth of production lines Utilize 80/20 principle to drive continuous improvement efforts that align with Business Unit objectives Manage projects as assigned including production line transfers and new model launches to integrate new products to manufacturing process Investigate alternative solutions for given projects, develop decision matrix, recommend the best solution, then implement final solution including installation, set-up, debugging, and training Responsible for Capital Expenditures including writing Authority for Expense (AFE), creating Material Requisitions, monthly forecasting activity and delivery project on-time and within budget Ownership for capacity planning and taking necessary actions to meet customer demand Responsible for BOM and Routing accuracy including annual review of routings versus actuals Responsible for creating work instructions and training of personnel Required Education & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline 5-7+ years of Engineering experience 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Travel requirements for this role will start at 50% (traveling to Lawrenceburg, TN twice per month) and decrease to 10% as our Franklin, WI plant ramps up to production over the next two years Ability to work independently of management on multiple projects of varying levels of complexity and magnitude Strong knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing principles is required Working knowledge of CAD software required Ability to take initiative and proactively identify opportunities for improvement Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Considerable knowledge of Windows computer systems required; Ability to configure systems for machine interface and network communication preferred Experience with complex assemblies, electrical, and/or refrigeration systems highly preferred Experience with designing, modifying, or maintaining industrial control systems is a plusModine is an equal opportunity employer.
