Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing comprehensive support to Supply Chain and Manufacturing departments during the design, procurement, kitting, fabrication, and assembly of electric machines. Your primary focus will be to maximize productivity and quality while minimizing costs.

ResponsibilitiesEvaluate designs for manufacturability (DFM/DFA) and ensure efficient production.Provide material recommendations with input from Supply Chain and vendors.Develop tools for accurate material usage and order quantities.Lead cross-functional process improvement projects.Conduct process capability studies.Recommend manufacturing equipment and present capital requests.Review and disposition material/part deviations.Participate in project meetings and provide continuous improvement feedback.Document and report on technical issues and project progress.Provide technical support to other locations and customers.Communicate technical ideas clearly.Collaborate effectively within teams.Participate in training opportunities.Determine root causes of manufacturing issues as a key member of the Quality team.Observe safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.Operate equipment safely.Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.Provide outstanding customer service.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Engineering (ME, MET)10+ years of experience in project experience tied to machine shop or mechanical assembly/fabrication industry6+ years of Autodesk Inventor experience (3D modeling)Ability to work and communicate cross functionally with various groups (engineering team, project management team, supply chain, procurement)Additional Skills & QualificationsElectric Machine Manufacturing ExperienceMaster's Degree in Engineering (ME, MET)Lean Manufacturing Black Belt CertificationScrap Reduction / Material or Resource Planning Project ExperienceWork Environment

The work environment is a blend of project-based support (70% behind desk) and on-floor troubleshooting (30%) processes cross-functionally with the engineering team. The position operates Monday through Friday with a 40-hour workweek on the 1st shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
