Job Purpose
Our EnerSys/ABSL operation based in Longmont, CO is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and optimizing cutting-edge manufacturing processes for the production of state-of-the-art Li-Ion batteries. You will work closely with a dynamic team on the front lines of space component technology and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our programs.

Demonstrated experience authoring Work instructions/travelers Use of electronic Manufacturing Execution System (MES) (Factory Logix) Spot Welding to AWS 17.2 or equivalent Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620- Cable and Wire Harness assemblies or equivalent Experience with IPC J-STD-001- Soldering Requirements or equivalent Familiarity in applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry Participation in dispositions of Non-Conformance generation through a Material Review Board (MRB) Experience with new product introduction and transition to production Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems Goal-oriented and well-structured way of working Knowledge of production processes Able to effectively communicate with all levels of manufacturing and with site management Self-starter with strong leadership and demonstrated problem-solving ability Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills Knowledge of aerospace assembly, integration, and test process and requirements Experience mentoring Jr engineers and effective delegation of tasks General Job Requirements Generic
