Responsibilities:
Responsible for the advancement of manufacturing technology, product introduction, and project management of manufacturing projects at a plant or corporate level. Manufacturing representative for large truck level product development projects Work with project teams early in the PDP process to develop manufacturing. process using Design for Manufacturing and Assembly principles. Work with Manufacturing plants globally to produce DV level components while designing the manufacturing process. Act as project manager for the manufacturing portion of product development projects thru project close Work with Current Product teams to share and engage in the Product Development Projects Work with the Process Technology group to share new and emerging technologies with project teams. Develop and mentor others in Manufacturing while providing technical direction and leadership. Develop capital and expense budget for large product development projects. Present project updates to executives at PDP Milestone meetings This position reports to the AME Manager.
Qualifications:
8-15 years related experience. Non-degree considered if 8+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED Must have valid driving privileges. Some overnight stays (10%) Some international travel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of product development and the Crown PDP Process Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related Extensive knowledge of current manufacturing processes and emerging technologies Excellent leadership and coaching skills Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills Ability to influence others on initiatives that advances technology, processes, and product. Strong background in Crown manufacturing processes including automation. Ability to support multiple projects at once. Outstanding communication and presentation skills to facilitate discussions with a wide variety of personnel at different levels of the organization.
