Job Description Job Summary The role will specifically look at achieving product access goals, maximizing pricing and access opportunity by leading and working collaboratively with cross functional team while placing the patient at the center of any efforts and operating within AbbVie business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations. The successful incumbent will have strong strategic focus, business oriented, strong execution, and collaborative. Responsibilities 1) Drive optimal access in public and private sectors • Drive strategy development and execution of drug formulary listing in public sector for new products and new indications of in-line products o Lead the cross functional brand team to obtain formulary listing in public hospitals and to ensure successful execution (Safety Net, Samaritan Fund, Community Care Fund, Self-Financed Item) o Drive evidence planning and generation (e.g. local economic data, budget impact analysis and value dossier localization) for supporting enlistment submission. o External access stakeholder’s engagement for informing access strategy, shaping access decision as well as long term healthcare policy to create positive environment for AbbVie brands. o Tailor and develop market access stakeholder specific strategy and value messages o Drive partnership initiative with stakeholders and aim to broaden access of AbbVie products in Hong Kong and Macau and ensure insight collection at earlier stage • Drive strategy and execution to optimise access in private market o Provide insights for opportunities to maximize the access in different private segments o Support pricing and negotiation with private payer and providers, in coordination with other functions (e.g. Commercial) 2) Tender management o Lead, manage and coordinate all tenders and contracts for AbbVie o Evaluate tender risk and opportunities by scenario analysis to advise internal pricing decision and stakeholder engagement strategy. o Monitor environmental changes which impact contracting / tendering and develop strategies in response. 3) Integrated access strategy (IAS) and business planning o Lead integrated access strategy (IAS) for core brands and pipeline products, and alignment with brand team o Strong mindset in profit and loss management to support business case and pricing proposal o Drive internal price approval and own pricing system management o Provide access expertise for portfolio planning in business long range plan 4) Policy shaping o Participate in government affairs/policymaker’s discussion to shape favourable environment for AbbVie’s new products and market expansion of existing products. o Engagement with identified patient advocacy group (PAG) o Participate in industry association activities to collect market insights and to shape policy.
