Execute marketing activities and maintain marketing channels externallyMap out valuable and cost-effective marketing events locally including but not limited to trade show, exhibition, conference, seminar, and similar marketing events to help local commercial team and global marketing team to build up overview marketing strategy both at global and local levels.Manage above mentioned events and maintain the relationships with all media players, identifying local high value marketing channels and influencers.Coordinate approved marketing activities to support the promotions of the suites of products under HT’s business and enhance Johnson Matthey’s brand awareness in the market.Manage the production of marketing materials, including literature and product brochures, digital content in social media.Coordinate new product/strategy introduction in the markets through product/strategy launches.Own and maintain China fuel cell and green hydrogen market dataInterface closely with commercial team, marketing team, Automotive Powertrain team and PGMS market research team to ensure single source of truth using information that is as accurate, consistent, and up to date
Develop models that can be used to analyse and forecast future demand for fuel cells/green hydrogen over both short and long-term horizonsPrimary fuel cell technology of interest is proton exchange membrane (PEM), but may extend to other fuel cell technologies and key focus application is on-road transport (both heavy and light duty), but may extend to other off‑road applications such as marine, rolling-stock, aerospace, construction/mining and stationary etc.Primary green hydrogen in focus is PEM as well, and mainly selecting 3~5 customers in potential in focus group to drive technology development in short team but may extend to larger customers base once the technology and capacity are all ready to scale up.Update business with fuel cell and green hydrogen market newsCollate and distribute monthly newsletter on fuel cell and green hydrogen markets.
Analyse value chain dynamicsTrack current and suggest likely future behaviour/preferences of OEMs, suppliers (raw materials, major equipment items), fuel cell stack & electrolyser manufacturers and disruptorsAnalyse other key issues in electrified powertrain evolution, including, but not limited to, the necessary development of the supply chain, PGMs and regional refuelling infrastructureAnalyse other key issues in green hydrogen energy transition, including, but not limited to, the necessary development of the supply chain, PGMs and availability of renewable energy.Manage Gov’t funded projectsThe ability to submit and manage gov’t funded projectsThe experience in submitting/managing academic funded projects, e.g, “national 863 plan”, “nsfc project” or other funded projects in industry e.g, “technological transformation project” is a great advantage
GeneralTo carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructedTravel, as required, in a safe and cost-effective manner to meet and work with a China customer base
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree level in a science or business discipline is preferredIndustrial experience in High-tech, climate change, clean energy sector Experience in a multiple national and cross-cultural working environment Over 3 years of consulting firm or in-house business analyst experience Strong documentation ability in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointStrong numerical and analytical ability, SPSS, MATLAB or Python is a plusExcellent analytical & problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin ChineseAbility to multi-task & operate effectively in a matrix organization in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated and Results DrivenHow to apply:
