The role:

As part of the 1:1 Marketing & Analytics team, the Senior Marketing Analyst will play a key role in the messaging of insights, analysis, and performance of marketing tactics with the objective of supporting the growth of Meridian Group of Companies.

Act as an embedded analytics partner for the marketing team, and in partnership with your colleagues, maintain existing marketing reporting while working to improve and refine these processes Assist in the overall administration of the Google Analytics platform, including dashboard creation, investigate data issues and user support Design and monitor campaign performance KPIs and analysis frameworks to improve business profitability Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure measurement capabilities are in place prior for marketing campaigns, product launches, or other strategic initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

Analysis & Insights

Measure the effectiveness of Marketing tactics (paid, organic, brand, email, website, social etc.) while you partner with the marketing team to set goals, measure results, and share actionable insights Responsible for helping our internal business functions understand and improve user experience on our web sites and mobile apps Analyze prospect and Member-level information to determine the effectiveness of campaigns and generate additional profitability-enhancing strategies Extract insights on behavior of audience segments acquired through campaign data using analytics tools, data platforms, and internal databases Produce informative data visualizations to track campaign performance and on-going metrics Provide actionable analytics & recommendations to executive management in Marketing & throughout the organization Execute A/B tests of key marketing initiatives and campaigns to drive continuous improvement and increase ROI

Innovation

Keep ahead of changing market trends to provide client groups with new and relevant information to make improved decisions Seek out opportunities to develop automated and self-serve solutions to standardized daily/weekly/monthly reports and streamline processes to increase department efficiency Collaborate with Enterprise Analytics team to develop product profitability models Support the improvement of marketing attribution using tools such as marketing mix modeling and multi-touch attribution

Market Research

Evaluate reports across a wide range of methodologies and solutions such as brand trackers, brand lift and awareness studies Analyze market research data from completed surveys to support internal partners with decision making Identify key business opportunities for growth by profiling the existing Member base and assessing emerging needs through industry research Competitive Analysis: Study competitors and industry trends to inform strategic decisions

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines. Highly motivated self-starter with high energy and a very positive attitude A natural curiosity to investigate complex, ambiguous problems using multiple data sources and tools to come up with answers and recommendations A strong business acumen and can translate insights into actionable recommendations that align with business objectives Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment Continuously innovates to achieve great results Possess a strong attention to detail; be concise without comprising the facts Strong data analysis skills - proficiency in Excel/Data Studio/SQL is a must; statistical analysis using SAS or Python preferred Proven experience with modern BI/Data Visualization platforms (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Looker) Strong working knowledge of an analytics stack, working with analytics tools, data warehouses and data visualization tools Proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint) Experience coaching and mentoring junior teammates

Education, Designations, Training, and Experience

Post-secondary education with a focus in Marketing, Mathematics, Business or related field considered an asset Five (5+) years' experiences in an analytics driven role (analytics, digital marketing, BI, etc.), within a financial institution considered an asset Experience in conducting analysis and working with diverse data sets, both structured and unstructured. Experience/training in the development of reporting and analytics considered an asset Demonstrated experience working in scripting languages such as Python or R, VBA, to set up automation and integrations is considered an asset. Working experience in digital analytics using Google Analytics, and Data Studio.
