Senior Marketing Analytics Manager
What You'll Do We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Marketing Analytics Manager to lead our marketing analytics efforts and drive data-informed decision-making at the executive level. This role is pivotal in guiding the marketing strategy through insightful analysis, providing strategic commentary on key business metrics, and leading critical meetings with leadership. The ideal candidate will have expertise in B2B marketing and a deep understanding of the complexities within the Avalara marketing and sales ecosystems. They will excel in synthesizing complex data into clear, actionable insights, enabling the company to optimize its marketing performance and align with business objectives. This role reports directly to the Director, Marketing Data Operations and Insights We will consider fully remote candidate #LI-Remote Strategic Data Analysis & Reporting: Lead the analysis of marketing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide strategic insights and commentary on marketing performance for executive leadership meetings. Oversee the creation of weekly, monthly and quarterly marketing reports, including QBR slides, ensuring clarity and relevance to business goals. Leadership & Collaboration: Run weekly production meetings with key leadership stakeholders, driving discussions on marketing performance and strategic direction. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align analytics initiatives with broader business objectives. Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Executive Communication: Craft compelling presentations that distill complex data into impactful narratives for executive audiences. Act as a key liaison between the analytics team and senior leadership, ensuring alignment and transparency in reporting. Project Management: Lead and manage high-impact analytics projects from conception through execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals. Coordinate with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and manage resource allocation effectively. What You'll Need to be Successful Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics or a related field, with a focus on strategic analysis and executive communication. Expertise in data visualization using PowerBI and SQL. Strong leadership skills with experience running high-level meetings and managing cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences. Comfortable presenting data in a meaningful way to executives. In-depth knowledge of B2B marketing and familiarity with the Avalara marketing and sales ecosystems. Pay ranges may be different in other locations. Colorado $129,800 - $214,200 (annually) Washington $129,800 - $236,700 (annually) California $129,800 - $259,300 (annually) New York $143,500 - $259,300 (annually) The pay range above is the general base pay range for you in the state listed. Your actual salary/wage may be based on multiple factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, and market and business considerations. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and your role.
