Job Description:

 

The Senior Marketing Coordinator/Senior Pursuits Associate leads the development of responses to RFQs, RFPs, interview presentations, and award submissions. He/she acts as the marketing point of contact for assigned business units of the company. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, high-performing, and has strong customer service skills. The position requires excellent writing and design layout skills, project management skills, and the ability to work autonomously. The senior marketing coordinator/associate must multi-task and manage priorities while working under multiple deadlines to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Key to the success of this role is seeking efficiencies, developing process, and driving for results. He/she collaborates with business unit leaders, the brand and communications teams, and other corporate resources. He/she will act as a mentor and be responsible for directing and overseeing the work of junior team members in the department.

Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Technical Writing, or Graphic Design, or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 3–7 years of experience in marketing and proposal development within a professional services field, preferably in the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC) industry
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on attention to detail and quality assurance
• Excellent technical writing and copy-editing skills
• High level working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically InDesign)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Confidence in leading project teams and collaborating with executive leadership individually and in group settings
• Demonstrated strength in teamwork, organization, multi-tasking, and project management
• Ability to prioritize tasks while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple hard deadlines and long-term projects
• Working knowledge of CRM systems, especially Microsoft Dynamic
• The position reports to a pursuits manager and works with minimal supervision

Responsibilities


• Lead the entire lifecycle of a pursuit, including strategy, coordination, writing, editing, layout, and production of qualifications packages and proposals
• Collaborate with project teams to develop interview presentation strategy; lead the development of interview materials, including presentations, interview decks, and handouts; direct presentation rehearsals and ensure the presentation team is well-prepared
• Act as point-of-contact for the Los Angeles team; guide them as they need marketing support; maintain project and team knowledge in CRM and other systems
• Develop and maintain business unit-specific marketing content including narratives and photography for use in proposals, brochures, collateral, company website, social media, etc.
• Learn and understand the local Los Angeles market
• Update and maintain marketing templates including resumes, project sheets, proposal materials, etc.
• Manage and produce industry and project-specific award submissions
• Develop and implement solutions that improve the functionality and efficiency of the marketing department
• Support and/or own marketing department goals and have the ability to improve and/or own pre-existing processes, tools, or systems
• Develop and ensure standard best practices and standards for pursuits management
• Recommend hardware/software solutions to improve the design product and efficiency of the pursuits team
• Serve as a resource to other pursuits associates, including mentoring; may orient, train, assign, and review the work of pursuits associates

In accordance with California’s Labor Code Section 432.3, the base salary range for this position is:

$84,700.00 - $123,200.00

Compensation in other cities and states may vary. The determination of salary is based on the candidate’s individual professional experience, qualifications, education, skills, and training.
